2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the Minnesota Fringe Festival! To celebrate three decades of adventurous achievements,
Minnesota Fringe is planning a few special events over the next year to highlight the variety of talent that has graced our stages.

If you have a favorite artist, venue, show, or experiece that you want to share with us, you could be featured in an upcoming Fringe File or on social media. Just fill out our survey and you'll also be entered into a drawing to receive a 5 show pass to the 2023 Fringe Festival.

Founded in 1993 to promote freedom and diversity of artistic expression, Minnesota Fringe has grown as a field leader in the most arts-supportive state in the nation. In thirty years, we've expanded from a handful of shows to hundreds of performances for tens-of-thousands of audiences members each year.

From our humble beginnings, Fringe has steadfastly remained committed to its core principles:

  • producing and performances opportunities for artists of a wide variety of backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels;
  • providing novel ways of engaging with the perorming arts; and
  • committing to financial accessibility for both artists and audiences throughlow-cost tickets and lean producing models.

Fringe has paid local, national, and international artists more than $2.5 Million from ticket revenues over the past decade, has a $1.2 Million annual economic impact on our community, and continues to experiment with year-round programming that champions adventurous artists to adventurous audiences.
