Cast and Crew
Brian Watson-Jones
Writer/Performer(he/him) As a performer, Brian has been seen at the Minnesota Fringe as the curator of Fringe Orphans (2012, 2013, 2014, 2018), the Ringmaster in The Bisexual Unicorn in 2019, and a cannibalistic bear scout in 2023's Slices (a Golden Lanyard recipient). As a writer, he's a part of Tedious Brief Productions, and co-wrote all of their previous shows (Bard Fiction, Tempests, The Final Act, and Mead Hall). As a maniac, he's a company member with The Haunted Basement, and writes little horrible things, puppets a giant pig, or chases people while dressed as a bear. As an... all of those, he writes and performs for Ghost Wax, a locally-produced horror anthology podcast which won an Audio Verse award for 2023 Best New Production. His resume is a confusing mess, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
Cate Jackson
Co-Director(she/her) Cate is a local actor and creator who has worked with Jackdonkey Productions, Sparkle Theatricals, Nimbus Theater, An Alleged Theater Co, TrP, TheatreX, Smartmouth Comedy, Live Action Set and many more. When not onstage she is usually babying her plants or can be seen wandering wherever there are trees.
Maridee Slater
Co-Director(they/she) - Maridee is a builder-artist. Sometimes they make with their hands (as a painter, welder, carpenter, fabricator), sometimes with their head (as a director, educator, or producer), sometimes with their body (as a choreographer, movement coach, or performer), and always by encouraging, prodding, and cheerleading others. MFA, Directing (Columbia University).
Scot Froelich
Sound Designer/Music MixerScot is a long-time Fringer, having worked on festival shows since 2002. He's performed in a dozen or so, sound designed many more (including this year's They Still Make Film For That? by Kevin Ealaín), and written and produced four of his own, including Men Will Be Boys in 2013, Break Your Heart in 2016, A Man's Guide... in 2019, and last year's Aging In an Age of Change. He's also a company member at Freshwater Theatre since 2010 (started here at the Fringe with Ruth Virkus' Table 12) and the newly-minted Managing Director of Broken Wing Productions (kicked off with 2022's My Empty Arms). He's producing The Wind Phone over at The Ribs of Humanity, so check that out!
