Fun Experience

I attended “Everything Matters” for the tenacious tarts. It was amazing. I found out it was written and directed by Siobhan Kierans. It was performed by both Siobhan Kierans and Karol Lux acted wonderfully. I enjoyed it very much. It was smart and original. The humor was subtle and the historical references were good. I totally recommend it.

Innovative & enjoyable

The play "Everything Matters" was innovative and well presented by Karol and Siobhan (the writer as well as actress). I enjoyed it a lot.

odd and funny

"Everything Matters" is an excellent and funny exploration of how our past influences influences our present. The narrative cleverly intertwines the characters’ memories. They read a journal filled with predictions that reveal hidden truths. Both ladies have created something truly special, with heartfelt performance that captures the essence of dysfunctional friendship through the passage of time. The humor is odd but I enjoyed it.

New to me I guess

It was a wonderful experience. The material is sharp, and the performances by actors are ok. I didn't like the pauses. It was as if we were waiting for something that never came but I liked it overall. It's a fascinating story that keeps you thinking long after the play. I don't know. I didn't know about that government program back then so i learned something new. We are Theatre Lovers and I feel we came out feeling good about ourselves I guess. Full marks for fringe standards.

Space cakes

Always appreciated community theatre. Both ladies sounded more like they were dating and boke up than sister of the blood covenant. lol. My friend told me I found it funny because I was on "space cakes" myself lol.

Interesting and original

The idea, the props and premise were simple but yet carried me on a positive journey. I enjoyed it immensely.

Luck

I wasn't there to go to a play but I went in with a friend when I knew about it. I'm a student and this was a new experience for me. We don't have theatre like this back home in Africa. It's different. Myself and my friend looked up some of the references but I liked it. I'll explore now what other fun shows are there.

Pure Enjoyment

I went to see Everything Matters on opening night. Even though I had an idea of what the play was about, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The writing was super clever and I loved watching the dynamics between the two characters. Not only did I attend because I am friends with Karol (who plays Anna) but I also want to support both Karol Siobhan as first time producers and Karol’s first time performing at the Fringe. I am so happy for these smart and talented women. I highly recommend checking this show out!

It spoke to me

Girl!! It’s like this play spoke to me. I just lost my aunt who raised me. She wasn’t CIA (like the play) but her life was full of adventure in the Airforce and we went through her garage just the same as in the play. I cried in parts of it and laughed in others but overall it was great. I know this ain’t no coincidence, me being there and all. You’ll nailed it.

Kudos to First Time Producers!

A mixture of reporting from a deceased loved one's journal filled with possible personal and world predictions of the past to youthful memories and current day realities, this play is the story of two childhood friends returning to Ireland as adults, after the death of a kind and mysterious neighbor who befriended them. The current day performances seemed stronger than the reading of the journals. It became best to simply accepting the journals as a means to the end of learning and going through historical moments most likely remembered by adults, which I believe is the best intended audience. Children might enjoy the costumes, acting and childhood friendship. Audience participation was an unnecessary distraction. I came because I know Sioban and I was interested in the topic of the unknown predicted. I believe it is also important to support first time producers, and see how the new performers grow through their first and future Fringe Festivals. Congratulations to these and other first time producers.

everything Does matter...

I saw the Tenacious Tart's premiere of their Fringe submission EVERYTHING MATTERS!!! It felt undercooked. The story was purportedly about CIA psychics (can only report this due to a post-show speech), and most of the dialogue was describing historical events (no real humor, and read from notebooks/papers). The audience participation (which seemed to have no purpose other than keeping the audience relatively engaged) scared me, and I am admittedly a coward. I liked seeing the women's friendship and appreciated that there were trying to be uplifting. If you like to experience the spectrum Fringe (and I do!), stop by BLB, have a beer, and enjoy!

Blast from the past

This production was slow at first but then turned out very well as it took shape. It was a throw to the past century in a nice psychological twist. I've never seen it before tonight but I'm delighted I did. It was fun, silly, mature and intelligent comedy laced drama.
