Re Edahl
creator, performerRe (they/she) is a movement artist currently based in Atlanta, GA, but you may recognize them from the years they lived and worked in Minneapolis as a dancer and physical theatre performer, with such companies as Live Action Set, Collective Unconscious, Dangerous Productions, Human Combat Chess United, and of course their own company Loom Lab. Originally trained as a dancer, they have a particular love for expanding their skillset with new and interdisciplinary work - which has brought them to Atlanta, working with such exciting organizations as Havoc Movement Company (specializing in new action theatre) and Crux Collective (contemporary circus). When not performing, Re uses her personal training certification to help other movements artists become their best physical selves with strength and conditioning work under her company name Athletes On Stage. This is the first full production Re has created post-COVID, and they are so excited to be doing it back in Minneapolis!
Elisabeth Higgins
performerAs a circus artist specializing in tissu, Elisabeth Higgins is passionate about storytelling through performance. With experience in a variety of ensemble and solo settings, she seeks to bring authenticity, connection, and emotional honesty to all of her work.
Ellis Johnston
performerEllis is a dancer, choreographer, and middle school teacher delighted to be performing in the Fringe this year. Her first ever Fringe performance was dancing for Re Edahl nearly a decade ago and her heart leapt at this second opportunity. Ellis is happiest when dancing, playing ball with her dog, receiving kisses from her cat, cuddling her partner, and witnessing her students learn and grow.

performerMarival Parish is a stunt performer, actress & martial artist based in Atlanta, GA. This June, she returned home from Beijing, China, where she trained with Jackie Chan’s Stunt Team. Marival went to school at the University of Florida. Go Gators! IG: @marival.parish

performerMonica Martelly is an emerging Haitian-American movement artist whose passion is as vibrant as their hair. With over 20 years of international movement training, they specialize in aerial hoop and a variety of dances, including contemporary, modern, jazz, and partnered social dances. They are plant-based in Atlanta, Georgia, with two fur babies.
Sarah Palm
performerSarah is a Minnesota native who has fallen in love with her current home base of Atlanta. She holds an MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and undergraduate degrees in Film Production (Minnesota State University Moorhead) and Theatre Arts (North Dakota State University). She is a working actress and a principal voice talent/sometimes writer and director for “The Unexpected Podcast” (www.theunexpectedpodcast.com). She is eagerly awaiting the day when someone will let her voice an animated character on network television, but until then you can catch her playing the girl of your dreams - or your worst nightmares - on a stage near you.
Thalia Bea Kostman
performerThalia Bea Kostman grew up in France and returned there for study abroad to study mime at Studio Magenia in Paris. She graduated from Macalester College with a Theatre Major and Francophone Studies Minor. Thalia specializes in physical theatre and puppetry, has been a performer in the Twin Cities since 2012, and is a founder and co-artistic director of Phantom Chorus Theatre, a local collaborative theatre that uses the mediums of puppetry and movement.

William Harmon
technical advisorWilliam is a lifelong theater magician... I mean technician... who has worked as a stage manager, lightning/sound/effects designer, and all-around make-shit-happen guy for such Twin Cities theater companies as Live Action Set (including on the Ivy-award-winning productions of Crime and Punishment and Seven Shot Symphony), Dangerous Productions, Illusion Theater, Transatlantic Love Affair, and on past Loom Lab shows. He is currently based in Atlanta, GA, where he works as the production manager at the Center for Puppetry Arts.

About old growth
Loom Lab’s old growth is a devised meditation on transformation, community, and acceptance, inspired by global mythology on shapeshifting, underworlds, and our innate connection to nature.
Part nonverbal storytelling and part catharsis via contemporary dance, old growth draws on the varied movement backgrounds of its cast to weave an exciting and captivating world where the laws of trees rule and honoring your truth is the only way to bloom. We use contemporary dance, circus arts, puppetry, fight work, and physical theater, to witness our characters try - sometimes successfully, sometimes not - to make sense of themselves against a background of engaging ensemble work.

About Loom Lab
Loom Lab is a collaboration between movement artist Re Edahl and theatre artist Cal O’Brien. Born of a desire to create truly interdisciplinary work, Loom Lab uses devising as a frame upon which to weave stories, finding our voice at the intersection of genre, identity, and form. Our desire to devise new work is emergent of our commitment to process and development. With our collective skills in dance, theatre, film, independent production, company management, and education we exist as a collective of individual artists eager to invite in the experiences of fellow artists as well as audience.
