I'm just kidding. It's not that kind of show, nor is it trying to be. What it is, is a very funny and silly show that gives some really nice laughs.

Till Death Do We Blart!!!

So fun, so silly, such a privilege to be a part of the last audience for this run of shows!! The playwright did an excellent job at filling in as the Administrator, Chloe and Aurora were a great mother/daughter duo, Ferocious was ferociously funny, the marauders (and Steve!!) were excellent, and the musical interludes were more than I could have asked for - seriously the music was a huge highlight that I was blindsided and delighted by. Overall, it so so glad I went to see this, and I may just have to journey to Madison, Wisconsin to see what else this playwright comes up with!!!!

Fringy Goodness

This show is why I love FringeFest. Silly parody, great pop culture references and campy fun. While I have never seen any of the Paul Blart movies I know the general premise of him being a mall cop and that's really all that is necessary to dive into this "sequel".

The best acting I’ve seen this year at Fringe!

I had never seen Paul Blart and worried that maybe I wouldn’t get some of the jokes. But rest assured, even if you haven’t seen them you’ll be fine. The actors really owned their characters. Especially the guy who played Ferocious the King of the Marauders. But you could also tell they were having a little fun with it and “in on the joke” The story was engaging with sufficient pop culture references to amuse.

Like the other reviews mention, this is silly, over-the-top fun. And it is great! There are some elements and unexpected moments that take it from a good comedy to a great one, in my opinion. You’ll have to go see for yourself. No knowledge of Paul Blart necessary. Due to an illness in the cast, we got to see a special performance from the playwright himself, and he really sold it. Also shout out to the fantastic ensemble cast!

I Want to Go to the Mall!?!?

And I never even really liked them back in the day. I loved this show, and I have never seen Mr Blart’s movie. Is there a strolling musician in his show? There should be- along with kick-ass women who will rule the world. The daughter reminded me of the multi-talented star of “Blossom”.

Get ready to laugh your Blart off

Blart of Darkness is easily the best installment in this storied franchise. Mr. Carry's performance escalates the character to new heights. This ensemble cast brings their all and delivers an incredibly entertaining production about live, loss, revenge and mall security.

This wound up being one of my favorite shows I saw this year. Because the concept is so silly it might be easy to overlook how tight the script is - this show is really well paced, and sets things up to pay them off later in a really tidy way. It's full of silly B movie tropes, but they're all played sincerely (it's a real story!) I feel like this show knew exactly what it wanted to accomplish and succeeded on every front
