Steven Nicholas
PerformerSteven grew up in Northeast Ohio where he began performing more than thirty years ago. He studied theater at UNLV and then moved to Los Angeles to enter the world of professional entertainment. After appearing in a number of national commercials and independent films he began to find his niche performing his own unique brand of mind reading entertainment. Steven has performed for Fortune 500 companies, Hollywood’s elite, and events from coast to coast. He began touring his first one man show ExperiMENTAL in 2021. The show won multiple awards, sold out performances, and garnered rave reviews at festivals around the country. Steven premiered his second show Mind Reader in 2023 and looks forward to touring this show for several years to come. When not on stage, Steven enjoys collecting stone lithographs, playing the marimba, and eating sushi, but not all at the same time.
More Information
"So, if I come to the show, are you going to, like...read my mind?"
Spoiler: maybe (it is a mind reading show, after all). There are plenty of opportunities to participate, so whether your brain gets picked is as much up to you as it is me.
"That sounds kinda scary."
Yeah, I’ve heard that a lot. So, here’s the deal. If you’d rather stay in your seat and remain an enigma, you absolutely can. If you do decide to jump in, I promise you’ll have fun (and probably look amazing in front of your friends).
"Are you going to bring me on stage?...'cause I don't know about that."
I do invite quite a few people on stage. No, I’m not going to embarrass you or make you look foolish - this isn’t that kind of show. In my show you’re the star, and everyone who joins me on stage looks cool, clever, and sometimes discovers that they have a new superpower (seriously).
"Will you tell people my naughty secrets?"
Only if you want me to. And if you do, they better be good. Like the kind that starts with “Okay, don’t judge me, but…” and ends with a group text apology.
"Okay, you're covincing me...but are you really any good?"
You don’t have to be a mind reader to know I’d say yes, so I’ll let a few other folks do the talking:
“Steven Nicholas twists reality and blows minds” - City Magazine
“An entrancing one-man show” - No Proscenium
“Consistently astounding” - Orlando Weekly
"That sounds pretty freakin' awesome. Can I bring my little monsters?"
If the show were a movie, it would probably be rated PG or PG-13. It’s best suited for ages 13 and up—not because it’s risqué, but because younger kids might not find mind reading as thrilling as, say, watching TikToks with less substance than a fortune cookie message written by a distracted kindergartner.
"I've never met a mind reader. Can we say hi after you finish blowing our minds?"
For sure. I usually take a few minutes after the show to tidy up (you know, collect the scattered thoughts), and then I’ll look forward to meeting you near the theater entrance.
"Cool. I'm in. Grabbing a ticket right now."
Fantastic. Just remember - after this, lying to your friends with a straight face gets way harder.
