Masterful Storytelling

If there’s one thing to expect from an hour of storytelling with master of the craft Motz (rhythms with Boats) it’s you don’t know what to truly expect. From the vineer of villainous tropes comes a raw and personal confession of how our protagonist and in truth all of us, are capable of being both the hero and the villain in life, depending on who you ask.

Beautiful Sorrow

Traversing grief is a difficult task. There’s no rule book or guide. But there can be a beauty to know we all share this difficult journey in our lives in some way or another. The players of Wind Phone are heartbreaking and engaging all at once and they make us privy to their grief. The fresh air, and birds, and subtle background music all add to the world of setting our hearts to drift off into the phone line connected only to the wind.

A worn tale told with enthusiasm

The story of Pinocchio may be a bit worn and well known but the young ensemble of actors that comprise the bulk of the show make their enthusiasm infectious, with clever staging, excellent playing in the round and some fun props, make this show enjoyable for the whole family.

More Charming than Charms

Haters of puns beware! If dad jokes put you into a hufflepuff, then you’ll be slytherin for the gryffindor before the hogwarts express leaves platform 9 3/4. The sleight of hand dipped in potions and sent out via owl make for good family fun.

Sometimes Words Get in the Way

Words are beautiful but sometimes we forget how the human body can tell an entire story with as much if not more emotional depth. The cast has the skill and chemistry to take its audience places without uttering a word and your hour passes in a blink.

Never Cook Bacon Naked

Improve can be so hit or miss and this crew hit it out of the park. Great chemistry and lots of uproarious laughs. Well done.
