More Information

Lauren Drasler devises a piece based on the extremes of dealing with anxiety and depression after having her first child.  But she also notes that postpartum depression is like.....super common and happens when we put weirdo crazy demands on ourselves to be everything to everyone. That is silly!!!

One half is the diva! She embodies anxiety, people-pleasing, fake-it-till-you-make-it energy. her solution is just to do everything all at once, but also asses the inner thoughts of everyone else and what they might think of her.

The other half is what is left when the facade can't be sustained anymore.  She does everything for everyone without realizing that the caregiver also needs caring. THE CAREGIVER NEEDS CARING!!

Laurie -my childhood nickname- represents my balanced self where my inner light shines through my creativity and joy for life and silliness!!

clowning, songs from the soul and devised storytelling abound!
