Great show!
It's sexy and violent and hilarious. I'd consider getting a reservation for this one, as the house was pretty full for their Friday show.

It's What it Says on the Label, and It's Amazing!
This was a great show with a pretty fringy concept. Wonderful energy and joy. I'd be sure to add this to my list.

Heartfelt, Cathartic Show
Allison Vincent is a wonderful performer and now I discover that she's a great writer as well. I can't imagine being so authentic and candid about my difficult relationship with my late father, yet she carries it off with seeming ease. If there was a dry eye in the house at this show, it wasn't mine. I can't recommend this show enough.

Remarkably ambitious (and Fringy) show.
I can't imagine the amount of time and work and ambition that went into creating this show. There are a zillion disparate art forms all held together by the artist's overarching symbol of wings. I would never have had a chance to see this without the Fringe Festival. Extra points for responding to reviews: I went to the Saturday show and there were lots of chairs to sit on.

Get a reservation for this one
Oh my God! This is a hilarious take on pain and loss and existential despair. I cannot praise Linnea Bond's writing and acting well enough. This is a stand-out show even at a great year for the Fringe Festival. Go to this show. You'll never forget it!
Company: Team Rand-McKay
Show: Dream of Me
Venue: Theatre in the Round
Great acting from a tight script
This is a great show that stands out in what has been (for me at least) and outstanding Fringe Festival. The three actors were uniformly excellent, and the staging worked well in the Theatre in the Round. The dancing was unexpected but lovely, and contributed to the story. I'd highly recommend this show.

Show: Seance Sisters
Venue: Strike Theater
Come for the seance, stay for the acting
There are lots of ways to tell the story of the Fox sisters, and this one I found especially satisfying. I was mesmerized by the emotional depth of the actors. As someone who grew up in a large family with often difficult relationships, the action of the play spoke through to me. This is on top of a Wikipedia article. The soundtrack was layered and sophisticated and worked. Thee actors hit every cue spot on. This is a smart, ambitious show that succeeds on every level. It's a must see.
