Beautifully done, funny, moving, emotional. The best props and AV I've seen so far in a fringe show as well.

Clever, Powerful

Had been told a little bit before attending the show but I wasn't prepared for what was coming. Amazing story telling, with so many clever choices that enhanced the format and drew in the audience, well beyond the average one-woman semi-autobiographical performance. Laugh out loud funny, but also heavy and powerful in a way that was able to crack a few sparks off even my cold, flinty heart. Twice.

Linnea Bond is incredible

Very thankful to have seen this show! The show creator, Linnea Bond, does a phenomenal job in her delivery of big humor moments, and micro humor moments. The way she chose to share her personal medical journey is so inventive and well done. I felt like the ending didn't quite do it for me, but ymmv.

Go on a journey

A love's lost story intertwined with dramatic telling of personal medical ordeals. Shared with humor and heart by an amazing talent. Writing was spot on + her timing & expressions? Perfection. And oh, may I mention -- oh my, the props...!

WHOA!!

I loved the preview for this show, and it delivered 1000%. Linnea is so so incredible in this show. She commands the stage through every bit of her body, from limbs flying akimbo to tiny movements in her expressive face. It's hilarious. It's funny. It's fun, It's poignant. It's thought provoking. It's high energy. Go see it - you won't regret it.

ugly crying in silence (compliment)

Probably my favorite so far at Fringe. There was a moment when I swear she made eye contact with me while my face was fully wet with tears and it took everything within me to not audibly sob. I knew I was going to have a lot of feelings with this one, but damn she got me soooooo good. Such a clever idea, my only tiny thing was I wish she utilized the power point thing more! Will see again if emotionally available~

The toughest type of review...

After all these years of Fringe and Fringe reviews, reviews for this type of show continue to confuse me. Part of a review's audience is the artist: to make sure they get lots of attendees. The other part of the review's audience is potential attendees to make sure they enjoy the Fringes they attend. As for the first, I can obviously observe the performer & writer's skill. First rate in every way. As for the second (did we enjoy it?). The answer is 'not so much.' As the description states, it is "part existential howl." And if you find existential howls frustrating, then this is probably not for you.

Oh my God! This is a hilarious take on pain and loss and existential despair. I cannot praise Linnea Bond's writing and acting well enough. This is a stand-out show even at a great year for the Fringe Festival. Go to this show. You'll never forget it!

Astonishing

I don’t have words to describe how precisely and how hard this show hit (in a good way). I would give it a million stars (kitties). Sharply written, brilliantly performed, it drew all of the emotions out. She held our whole audience waiting for her next words. And we laughed, in spite of, or as a response to, all of the darkness. Please come to Minnesota, again!

Heart Rippingly Great

Took a flier on this one and a few minutes in realized it was a clown show and knew i was in for something special…and uncomfortable. Second time i cried on Sunday! Light nightmares about surgeries, yay!

Wow Wow Wow

The concept, the content, the delivery -- everything about this show is exceptional. Bond takes us along on her journey of extraordinary physical and emotional challenges with fearlessness and humor and candor . It's fantastic.

A gem

This show is so well written, unique, and fun. Linnea's performance and presence with the audience is incredible. Come for the clowning and the laughs, stay for the twists, turns, and the catharsis. Highly recommend!! You will have FOMO if you miss this one - the experience can't be described.

A personal perspective on injury

This show is a power hour of intimate experiences of dealing with physical and emotional injuries. She illustrated her experiences dealing with complex cancer in a very visceral, visual way that allowed me to understand the day-to-day aspects of her treatment. It led me to a place of existential dread, in a way that I think is good for a person to experience - especially in regards to her message on climate change. Thank you!

Can I give this 10 kitties?

This was Fringeness at its best. I needed tissues. There was that magic moment at the end where everyone is quiet soaking in the feelings and then the ovation begins. Over the past few years, friends and family have had heart surgery. Until this show, I didn't realize the pain just to breathe. Many (all?) of us chuckled at the post-breakup notebook of bad poetry. Too many good things to list. You need to make a reservation and see this for yourself!

When In Doubt, Dance

I tend to avoid one-person shows, and only attended this because it was convenient. I’m so, SO glad I did. This show is the epitome of Fringe - it’s funny, it’s weird, it’s heartfelt, it’s charming, there’s puppets - and the actor/creator is so talented and engaging, it’s hard to look away. I agree with another reviewer that 16+ is probably a better age bracket for this show, but I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Horrific, but also very funny!

Reincarnation-as-timeshare is a truly great conceit for a solo show. The contrast between her aggressively cheery demeanor and the horrors she reenacts kept me thoroughly engaged. Energy kinda dipped near the end when things veered from the personal into more general, global woes.

A Heart String Tugger!

This is a show you absolutely can't miss! So beautiful and powerful storytelling through clowning, poetic verse, and well crafted props. I was left with MY heart ripped out, in a good way, of course! Go See This Show!

Amazing solo show

Linnea is so great and this show is both hilarious and heartfelt!

My favorite kind of fringe show

Such a perfect mix of humor, creative use of props and profound truth about the physical, emotional and unexplainable experience of pain. Although I recently experienced open heart surgery (for different reasons than Linnea and with fewer complications), it was cathartic to hear it described so accurately, artfully and philosophically. And it was about so much more. I finally stopped crying a half hour after the show ended. Art as therapy is the best, and this was superb.

bold and hilarious

An incredible personal story told through the framing device of a sales pitch. Impeccably performed and very sharply written. Felt like we in the audience were eating out of the palm of her hand the whole time.

Straight to the heart. Amazing!

Do not miss this show. I loud cackled for 30 minutes and then cried the next 20 (while still laughing). This is a beautiful beautiful piece of theater. I feel lucky to have seen it. It touched my heart—twice!

Larger Than Life

I enjoyed this show! It sort of started out like The Good Place and then became hyper specific to the artist's life, with goofy dancing and dark, satirical comedy. Well done!

Best theater I have seen in years

I am a regular theater-goer, and have been for years. I have to say: Linnea Bond delivered a tour de force that one doesn't get to see very often. This wasn't just a great Fringe show. It was great theater, period. I cried from laughing through most of it, then cried through the poignant ending that brought everything together and captured my heart. I will anything that Linnea Bond does.

I have seen roughly 50 fringe shows over the years; this is the *best* one ever, indeed even outside the fringe I can't think of a theatre piece which moved me this move. It is the most deeply touching, clever, incredibly hilarious and yet gut-wrenching and tear-jerking performance I have ever seen. Come see this, and I recommend it be the last show you watch that day, so you can think and talk about it with a loved one. This is what the fringe is made for. It even makes me doubt the worthiness of anything else I gave a "5" rating to. This deserves a 6+.

Great show (but NOT ages 12-15)

Brought our daughter to the show based on content recommendation for age 12, should probably be 16+ (some F bombs, A bombs, and enthusiastic masturbation)…. But despite that I very much enjoyed it!!!!!
