Oh. So that's how you do theatre. Got it.
A masterclass in physical theatre. The banter between actors and support as an ensemble is breathtaking. Every story is BEAUTIFULLY performed. The images and environments they create exist withing a 5 ft box but feel like they expand beyond the walls of the theater. I don't think I took a breath for the whole 60 mins. Incredible.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Wow, wow, wow. The description of this show hits perfectly what it is. It is moving, funny, impressive, an mildly disgusting. I loved every bit of it. Francesca is a FORCE OF NATURE. Incredibly well performed, jaw droppingly creative, and shockingly raw. Grateful to have seen it.
Company: Shambles Theatre Company
Show: Good Ones
Venue: HUGE Improv Theater
Playfully explored, skillfully delivered.
The Good Ones is a master class in clownery. A tricky artform, so well done, message well delivered. The script is hilariously self aware, as all Good Ones are ;), and balances poking fun at the audience with grounded messaging and entertaining banter. 10/10 would see again.

"I am a loser and I still deserve to live"
Such a beautiful and thoughtful look at the human experience through the eyes of a horse. I was cackling the whole show and authentically moved in the end. We may be unremarkable, nondescript, and unimportant little folks; but we all deserve to live, laugh, love. Missing this show is not an option.
Company: Jackdonkey Productions
Show: The Dumb Waiter
Venue: Open Eye Theatre
Wonderful physical feat
Robert was an absolute treat with the specificity of the physical world his the work. The trap door lived as a character in its own. Show as a whole was deliberate and juicy. Great job.

Show: A First-Class Comedic Revue… Featuring the Reanimated Corpse of a Wright Brother

Come for the comedy, stay for the clean up.
This show made me laugh, cringe, and reflect on why I did either. Not only does it look at what comedy is, what it takes to make a "good" show, but also asks questions of morality and the ethics of gimmicks (or resurrecting someone from the dead ). Improv, sketch, stand up, this show has a something for everyone. Plus, the performers are so committed, and the show so meta, that half of the audience stayed just to watch them clean up. Great show, definitely one you won't want to miss!!
