Come witness a "Flam-Boi-ant" experiment to disprove the"Out-dated" Conventional Wisdom hypothesis of Climate of not being a "sexy" enough topic to activate and engage the masses. The performances supply enough "Aha!" moments to belie the nature of the subject matter rather than cheapening it.To make this urgent and timely topic sexy and entertaining, I worked in the attention-catching element of love relationships and added an extra depth by making climate justice intersectional with LGBTQ acceptance. A renewable supply of actual humor is generated by drawing deep and profound parallels between the both movements, and crafting double entendres where the same set of words yield double narratives. But the backbone that holding the comedic value together is a series of strategically arranged word puns that fit together like pieces of a complex puzzle.
Carbon Man-Dating impacts the audience on multiple levels of head and heart simultaneously-- a creative balance that is stimulating both mentally and affectionately. The program is intended for somewhat mature audiences with adult themes & references presented in a beautiful, funny or ironic manner, without using directly adult words or images.
This spoken-word comedy includes a projected slideshow to illustrate the punchlines, as well as images of funny signs from the March for Science.

I have worked 5 hours of content into 5 different single-hour shows that all feature different stories yet match the same central theme set by the description. Audiences can enjoy each performance as a great show individually or enjoy all 5 performances as a series:
Aug. 1, 8:30 p.m. = Part 1: Queer Climate Intersectionality Intro
Aug. 3, 7:00 p.m. = Part 2: An "Allegorical" Climate-Themed Dating Site (seriously, Al Gore will be in town this evening!)
Aug. 5, 5:30 p.m. = Part 3: I Meet the Climate Model I Fell in Love With
Aug. 10, 4:00 p.m. = Part 4: Our Dating Adventures at the People's Climate Pride March
Aug. 11, 8:30 p.m. = Part 5: A Climate-themed Gay Erotic "Fiction"
Anyone closely following the climate justice movement who also appreciates affectionate & gay-themed humor will likely enjoy the show...or laugh hard enough to shed tears (as some have in previous performances)!
