What strikes me about this piece--and the company in general-- is the masterful symphony of clever and witty references, important social commentary, and terrific splashes of blood. All of the characters are important and considered. The setting is a delicious throwback to "Drop Dead Gorgeous" with issues relevant to our current state of turmoil. I laughed. I sighed with empathy. I shared in the triumph of overcoming the patriarchal sports commentator that hovers above the U.S. in a totally not gay suit narrating bullshit and waxing poetic. This show is a breath of oxygen when I have been gasping for relief. Thanks for a cathartic release only Melancholics Anonymous could provide. See the show.
