A fascinating, ambiguous exploration

I found Someone Always Pays truly fascinating. One of the ways I can tell that a play - or film, or other work of art - has resonated with me is that I find myself needing to talk with others about it. After seeing Someone Always Pays, it is no exaggeration to say that we talked about it all night - we talked about little else. The play inspires analysis, even debate. There's a lot to unpack, a lot roiling under the surface of what could seem like a straightforward feminist argument. I would encourage anyone who hasn't had a chance yet to catch this show. And when you do, pay close attention to the little details throughout - Someone Always Pays rewards that kind of close reading. It's one of those works that I know I will be thinking about for a long time. I should note: the folks who have created Someone Always Pays are good friends of mine, and I've volunteered to help as one of their setup and strike crew. But while I'm not unbiased, I really truly got a lot out of seeing this play, and I believe others will as well.
