Lou Legs, Earth, & Bones MaloneBones Malone (they/them) is an emerging showpony from Minneapolis, MN. They are a longtime student of The Rose Academy of Burlesque, and previously studied at the former Twin Cities Burlesque Academy. Bones has lit up stages with their spunky performance style at many Twin Cities burlesque institutions, such as La Folies Burlesk, Bi-Lesque at Twin Cities Pride, Queerdo,Tassels Off! and TC Cabaret. They are also a core cast member of #betchesandburlesque, a monthly “parody dance and A$$ cabaret” production. Bones is the August 2022 winner and November 2022 Ultimate Reveal Champion of Nudie Nubies, the world’s longest-running amateur burlesque competition. Known for their impassioned expression, dynamic musicality, and campy charm, Bones is one crowd-pleasing, heart-breaking tease!

Grace, Fire, & Bram Stroker + Producer of ABSURDITYBram Stroker (they/them) is your vampy campy courtroom jester, sewist, artist, and craftist here to make your life and afterlife a lot more gay. You’ve seen her at Burlesque Hall of Fame, La Folies, Capital Cities Cabaret, Burly Bluffs, Draggy Divas, Nudie Nubies, House of 1000 Queers, Karaoke After Dark, Nudie Nubies, TC Cabaret, Ground Zero, and can see her at so much more this summer including Thorns & Roses stage team, Des Moines' Cabaret Luster, and Absurdity's Production team. ChasTitty Barre
Richard the House Manager, Expression, & ChasTitty BarreBorn on the mean streets of Chicago (the musical), ChasTitty Barre has danced for over 20 years. She is a sexy and flexy dancer who keeps everyone on their toes (Literally). ChasTitty has taken classes from the Rose Academy of Burlesque and is a graduate of The Twin Cities Burlesque Academy. She's performed for Queer Circus, La Folies Burlesk, CONvergence, Queerdo, TC Cabaret and has traveled to Chicago, Ohio, and Vancouver to perform. She's also a founding member of Tit4Tap, the most titillating tap troupe in town. ChasTitty has been a part of Minnesota Fringe as an actor, dancer, and patron for most of the past 10 years, including being a part of SAATH (fka Bollywood Dance Scene)'s Hi! Hello! Namaste?, Spicy Masala Chai, Bezubaan: The Voiceless, and My Kahaani; Elite Entertainment's Pan's Peter and Looking Glass; and Orthogonal Productions' Karaoke After Dark. ChasTitty Barre likes her drinks dry and her audiences wet. Take one sip and you're sure to be a regular at this titty bar.

Daddy, Cumulus, & Dahlia Daydream“Everything is being spoiled in this world… What then. We’ll. Be. Spoiled. Too” The darling, disorienting Dahlia Daydream is a surrealist, neo-burlesque dancer, who emerged from the depths of consciousness making her solo-debut in the Spring of 2023 as a student at the Rose Academy of Burlesque in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She “gives good face” and explores concepts of abstract expressionism, subversive softness and hyper-fem dreams/nightmares through the art of strip tease. She is a rotten, cute, queer, weirdo with a tall, chronically ill body and a mind that is an expert at wondering. Shapeshifter, Earth, & HandsyHandsy hails from the gorgeous city of Saint Paul, is a current student of the Rose Academy of Burlesque, and has been seen moving and grooving in theaters throughout the Midwest. With hand-crafted costumes, high energy dance moves, and hands-on performances, Handsy is prepared to take you over to the silly sultry side of burlesque. This arts and crafty thembo is a bit of a handful and a treat for the senses. Soon, they’ll have you eating out of the palm of her hand.

Carrie Finnell, Air, & Honey BunzHailing from South Minneapolis and always looking like a snack, Honey Bunz is here to make your mouth water. This sweet burlesque baby has been studying seduction at the Rose Academy of Burlesque after years of doing hip hop, ballet, hula, belly dance and figure skating. Hot, sticky, and sweet- feast your eyes on this tasty treat.

A Twin Cities-native, Pearl Grey is an assistant instructor at the Rose Academy of Burlesque, the Co-producer of the Debutease Revue at the Brass Rail, cast member of ‘Absurdity: A Burlesque Experience’ part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival this August, and is soon to become ‘Your Favorite Fan Girl.’ With her vintage burlesque vibes, Pearl Grey keeps it classy and a little bit sassy.

You’ve seen "Satan's Favorite Sugar Baby" as a student and on the planning team of Thorns & Roses at the Rose Academy, a stripper picker upper and stagehand with Petty Treason Productions, a dramaturg, executive producer, and dancer in one of Minnesota’s LARGEST Fringe Festival shows this summer titled ABSURDITY, and you might have seen this kinky leftist menace around a place or two around the Twin Titties. She’s as sultry as her first name but as devious as her last: IT’S VELVET MENACE!!!

The Child, Fire, & Vivi DiamanteVivi Diamante is a plus sized queer Latina burlesque performer who is a graduate of the Rose Academy of Burlesque. Known as the Tejano Temptress, she hails all the way from El Paso, TX and considers herself an expert in tacos, tequila, and tetas. She is an award-winning costumer and milliner by day, and many of her creations can be seen on the stages of the Guthrie Theater. Vivi’s favorite thing about burlesque is its ability to celebrate and empower bodies of all sizes, ages, and abilities, and she hopes to help spread this message one rhinestone titty twirl at a time!

Peachy is an up and coming performer based in Saint Paul. An alum of the Rose Academy of Burlesque, she made her solo debut in April this year at the academy’s student showcase. While only having less than two years of burlesque under her garter belt, Peachy is a classically trained dancer with a lifelong passion for performance. She’s thrilled to be assisting the production team and helping bring Absurdity to life!

Bram Stroker
Art Director & Producer of ABSURDITYBram is a nonbinary gender fluid artist (they/he) currently located in the Twin Cities. They don’t confine themselves to one medium or style, instead exploring any number of mediums and techniques that interest them from oil painting to bookbinding to photography to poetry to tattooing to hand mulling paint. They also sing in a professional choir! They love how every medium is like a different dialect, able to tell the same story in individual ways. Their art is generally autobiographical - most often exploring themes of grief, as well as the beauty in the mundane, gender, and magic - as well as being political, exploring themes of restorative justice, accessibility, and equity in a number of social justice spheres.

ABSURDITY: a burlesque experience is an original, menacing, cosmic, empowering, tantalizing, and shocking absurdist burlesque theatre piece that you could have never imagined. Following a cast of various archetypes, elements, and figures the audience is taken on an absurdist journey to show the physical, mental, and emotional impacts of burlesque right here in the Twin Cities. Through dance, comedy, and spectacle, this ritualistic and sadistically entertaining piece, leaves you thinking about your own wants, desires, expression, shame, explorations, and vulnerability.
Making their world debut on the main stage at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, this 50-minute show will be playing at the Rarig Center in the Stoll Thrust Theater.
Burlesque and the queer community are interlocked with the outward celebration of liberty, expression, joy, fun, and healing. We welcome you to join us for a truly unique and unexplored experience.
