Aruna Karki
ActorAruna Karki is an experienced Nepali actress with over 25 years of experience in theatre and film. Trained in theatre arts, she has performed in more than three dozen plays, including classics like "A Doll’s House", "Hamlet", and "Oedipus". Her film work includes acclaimed roles in "Saanghuro"—for which she won a NEFTA Award—and the Kabaddi series. After performing in "Jeewan Dekhi Jeewan Samma" and "Curly Hair Boy" at the Pashupati Buddha Temple with the Boston-based Nepali community, she now brings her powerful stage presence to Minnesota Fringe 2025.
Jenish Karmacharya
ActorJenish Karmacharya is a Boston-based Nepali biochemist, artist, and adventurer with a deep passion for the performing arts. A trained dancer and lifelong theatre enthusiast, he rekindled his love for the stage through "Jeewan Dekhi Jeewan Samma" and later performed "Curly Hair Boy" at the Pashupati Buddha Temple with the Boston-based Nepali community. He now brings his heartfelt performance to Minnesota Fringe 2025.
Mani Ram Pokharel
Actor/Production ManagerMani Ram Pokharel is an experienced theatre and film actor, executive film producer, and production manager with over two decades of experience. A graduate of Gurukul, he has been deeply involved in Nepal’s theatre and film scene, known for his dedication and passion for storytelling. He performed in "Jeewan Dekhi Jeewan Samma" and "Curly Hair Boy" at the Pashupati Buddha Temple with the Boston-based Nepali community.
Rajan Khatiwada
Director/ActorRajan Khatiwada is the Co-founder and Creative Director of Mandala Theatre, and one of Nepal’s most prominent figures in contemporary theatre. With over 25 years of professional experience, he has made a lasting impact as an actor, director, and theatre educator. Renowned for his work with children and youth, Khatiwada has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of Nepali theatre artists. He has performed in acclaimed productions such as Oedipus Rex, Kumari, Charandas Chor, Bagbhairav, and Maila Dot Com, and directed notable plays including Sunkeshari, Miss Julie, Antigone, Twelve Angry Men and, many more. Known for his ability to blend folklore with modern theatrical forms, his work uniquely reflects Nepal’s cultural narratives in contemporary settings. Khatiwada is also known for his extensive international collaborations, helping build a strong global network for Nepali theatre. Through Mandala Theatre, he has initiated some of the country’s most significant artistic programs, including Nepal’s biggest international theatre festival and a year-long residency training program for aspiring artists from across the nation. His efforts continue to create a common ground for both national and international artists, fostering a vibrant and inclusive theatre community in Nepal.
Rejina Pokharel
ActorRejina(Asmi) Pokharel is a dynamic theatre artist and community leader, blending her passion for storytelling with a background in science and social activism. After completing a theatre workshop and debuting in "Jeewan Dekhi Jeewan Samma", she performed "Curly Hair Boy" at the Pashupati Buddha Temple with the Boston-based Nepali community. She now brings her vibrant stage presence to Minnesota Fringe 2025.
Sonam Tshring Sherpa
ActorSonam Tshring Sherpa is a Boston-based Nepali creative with a background in Business and Digital Media Technology. A Top 5 finalist in Mr. Nepal 2011, he brings his passion for acting, dance, photography, and videography to every project. After completing a theatre workshop and debuting in "Jeewan Dekhi Jeewan Samma", he performed "Curly Hair Boy" at the Pashupati Buddha Temple with the Boston-based Nepali community. Sonam is the CEO and host of the upcoming show "The Journey" and currently serves as Vice President of the Greater Boston Nepali Community (GBNC). His work celebrates creativity, community, and culture.
