Griffy LaPlante
Playwright/Director/SammyGriffy (Emma) LaPlante (they/them) is a playwright whose work finds its roots in anarchist and abolitionist practices. They have written and staged two original plays before this one ("Sinkhole Play" and "The Many Hagiographies of St. Cycles of South Minneapolis") with their friend-collaborator Eliana Durnbaugh. They also write fiction and nonfiction, which they publish occasionally on their substack "Epistolary Griffy" and their podcast "Earthbound Writers Radio." Through it all: A rejection of nihilism, an interweaving of left-wing scholarship, and an embrace of the philosophy of “natality,” in Hannah Arendt’s use of the term. "Salt" is Griffy's Fringe debut. Kae McMahon
FelixKae McMahon is a clumsy dancer, disorganized organizer, recreational farmer, professional lesbian, and now, perhaps an actor? Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2023, they have had the pleasure of dancing in works by Gabrielle “Gabby the Baddie” Abram, Taja Will, Mathew Janczewski, Alys Ayumi Ogura, and an upcoming work by Erika Martin. Additionally, they are grateful to have been a collaborator in choreographing and independently producing “Good News: A Dance Concert,” directed by Haze Harrison, which premiered at MOVO Space in January of 2025. They extend much gratitude to Griffy and their collaborators for the chance to spotlight anti-war media on stage.
Meg Habisch
Emma 2Meg Habisch (she/they) is a longtime minneapolis resident who was last seen on stage in "Leap Day Play (or, The Many Hagiographies of St. Cycles of South Minneapolis)", also written and directed by Griffy LaPlante. She admires the timelessness of theatrical storytelling, and is humbled to be on the Fringe stage with this blessed cohort. She dedicates this performance to her baby, Stone, and to all the others who will grow up and join the struggle for a better world.
