An old tale with local humor added
Overall, I enjoyed this thoroughly Minnesotan twist on an ancient story. Non-locals might miss a few of the jokes, but not too the point where it works detract from the overall enjoyment of the show. I think the only thing I felt could have been improved was the character of Joanna. I felt like she mostly did whatever Jonah did and was mainly there so there could be a Minnesota Twins reference. I would have liked to have seen her as a more distinctive character. But great show overall!

Delightful celebration of friendship and stories
I loved the creative retelling of clasdic fairytales, the dance (Andrew Lester is an incredible dancer!), the use of props and costumes, but my favorite thing about this show was the connection between the characters and the evolution of their friendship. That part was truly beautiful.

Honest and unflinching
This isn't a show about easy answers. It doesn't shy away from difficult truths and complicated emotions. I really appreciated that about this piece. And Duck Washington's delivery of this obviously deeply personal piece is spot on, mixing humor, introspection, vulnerability, and nuance.

Surreal and stunning
Beautiful choreography. Top-notch performances. A complex and dreamlike script. Believable characters with emotional depth. This show has all of that and more. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved it!
Beautiful choreography, fascinating story, and an absolutely delightful performance! Maggie did a brilliant showing not only her own character's inner journey, but portraying the other characters in the story as well.
