Superbly Sumerian
John has taken up the mantle of Bethel's work with such care, and love. His appreciation for the text, the audience and the creator just ripple off him. Don't be fooled by its late addition to the festival. He's been honing this show in backyards, parks, living rooms and across the country. Give yourself a treat to watch him deliver a muscular energetic performance

Radical Sincerity
I'm in love. I don't normally write reviews but this show was a balm and full of the kind of creativity, honesty, charisma and heart that I am always on the look out for. From the opening dance number (this is NOT a dance show) to the thoughtful details of her minimal set and costumes. It's clear a lot of skill, heart, and soul went into devising and creating the framework for Dolly/Destiny to create pure magic in front of you. The show will change every night but I can't imagine an audience leaving anything other than filled with light. This homage to favorite children's shows pulls on nostalgia without feeling overly precious - and lets you take a deep breath for an hour.
