EnCompass Theatre Does It Again!
I was enough lucky to see EnCompass Theatre's past Fringe shows (R Culture and Shoe Night) and I'm so glad that they're becoming a staple of the Minnesota Fringe. Casey Marie Holmes deftly directs a script that tackles the critical fight for reproductive rights and dangers of at- home abortion options- it's directed with both deep care and a touch of dark humor. Olivia Dubiel's Monroe, who puts a cheerfully morbid facade over her anxieties, and Stephanie Kahle's cautious but deeply loyal Jade play fantastically off of each other. With such clear chemistry and stakes, you are instantly invested in Monroe and Jade's friendship and the world of the play. Top it off with a fantastic set design and a sobering, powerful ending, this production is NOT TO BE MISSED! Thank you EnCompass Theatre for producing such an important, timely show!

An Absurdly Impressive and Stunning Fringe Debut!!
I am so grateful that this deeply ambitious, gorgeous, heartfelt production is apart of the Fringe Festival lineup. We NEED more work like this!! The costumes? STUNNING. The burlesque performances? JAW DROPPING. I simply have to shout out Bram Stroker because their singing in the final act is truly divine. The fact that this was presented by a first time MN Fringe producer is simply INCREDIBLE. I'm deeply impressed with how Luma Notti put together such a spectacular ensemble and built a powerful devised piece where everybody and every body can see themselves represented on stage. I hope we see much more of Luma Notti's work as well as the cast of ABSURDITY in the years to come at Fringe- they are SO worth keeping an eye on!!
