Political Comedy w/ a Side of Family Drama
Primary is a searing dark comedy that explores power on the political and interpersonal levels. This show is well worth your time for the laughs and poignant questions raised about who gets a seat at the table of leadership and the tactics they employ to hold onto it. The cast works extremely well together and are supported by a complex, intelligent script. Like others, excited to see where this piece goes in the future!

Simply sublime!
Expertly executed comedy by the ensemble, the perfect helping of 2000's references and charm from the playwrights, and an ominous hawk puppet lingering in the shadows. A winning cocktail if you ask me. Not only were these characters hilarious, but I found a surprising amount of depth in their relationships and I was left with a reminder of the aching pain of changing friendships and growing up. As someone who was a Girl Scout myself in '08 (and threw a roaring Camp Rock premiere party) I felt eerily seen. Bravo!!!

Lend me your ears!!
I was drawn into this production for so many reasons - the costumes, dance sequences, artful ensemble work were all sublime. The interplay of these elements creates a potent, moody atmosphere where distrust, conspiracy, and loss are always present. As conflict boils and bubbles up, the actors deliver strong, memorable performances. Watching BRUTUS unfold at Theatre in the Round is a spectacle to behold, and left me feeling energized by the bold work by these great artists!
