Rebecca Wickert
Co-Producer/Director
Rebecca Wickert (she/her/they/them) is a creator, director, stage manager, and performing artist located in the Twin Cities. Rebecca graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the spring of 2023 with a BA in Theater Arts, Performance Creation. With an emphasis in physical acting, Rebecca’s work is rooted in experimental and avant garde styles with touches of realism. Her passion is creating live horror theater. Rebecca is trained in hand-to-hand and broadsword stage combat and currently in the intimacy direction certification process. Recent directing credits include: "The Killing of Eve" (original work presented at the 2022 Minnesota Fringe Festival), "Silent Sky" (UMTAD), and “Project Suspiriorum” (UMTAD).
Ella Eastman-Kiesow
Co-Producer/Director
Ella Eastman Kiesow (she/her/they/them) is a Creator, Director, and Performing Artist located in the Twin Cities. Ella will graduate from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in the spring of 2024 with a BA in Theater Arts, Performance Creation, and a minor in Dance. She enjoys exploring physical acting through dance and ensemble work, and is trained in hand-to-hand broadsword combat. Recent credits include: “Black Comedy” (UMTAD), “The Amateurs” (UMTAD), and "Silent Sky" (UMTAD).
Nakeema King
Choreographer
Nakeema Virginia Rey (she/her) is an upcoming third-year undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota studying for a BFA in Dance. She was born in Tacoma Washington and moved to Bemidji Minnesota when she was eight. She is an enrolled member of the Upper Skagit Tribe, a descendent of the Klamath tribe, a descendant of the Swinomish tribe, and a descendent of the Choctaw Nation. She started dancing at three and has trained in multiple dance genres. Nakeema is driven to become a professional choreographer and to research the intertwining of powwow styles of her culture with her work in contemporary modern dance. She aims to bring visibility to Indigenous culture within the dance field and to create a company rooted in Indigenous perspectives.

Evelyn is a second year at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities and she is so excited to work on her first Fringe show as the stage manager! When she's not in rehearsal, Evelyn loves to watch movies and scroll on adoption sites for a cat that she so desperately wants. She wants to thank Rebecca and Ella for bringing her onto this project.

Lexi (Gemini) is over the moon to be playing Brutus. She's been in Theatre for 9 years, was in show choir for 5 years, and has been stunningly gorgeous for 19 years. This past year she took a gap year and will be attending the U of M to get her Acting BFA in the fall. She's most recently been in, The Lightning Thief (Clarisse), Echoes of the Holocaust (Ensemble), Ragtime (Harlem Ensemble), and Our Town (Rebecca Gibbs).

Amber is so excited to join talented artists Rebecca Wickert and Ella Eastman-Kiesow for her first Fringe Festival appearance. Born and raised in Mankato, MN, Amber attended the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in theatre with a minor in social Justice. They pioneered the group “Zoom Box Actors” which meets and performs exclusively online to reach people with disabilities across the state that want to participate in theatre. Some of their previous roles are Benvolio- Romeo and Juliet w/ BAR’d Shakes, Lily- She Kills Monsters @ UMTAD, and as Ginny Cadbury- 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche w/ Melancholics Anonymous. They could not be more grateful to join the cast and crew of this fabulous piece! Hi Mom and Dad!

Some favorite previous credits include Fools (Sophia) with Fridley Community Theater, Dracula (Mina) with Northern Starz, and The Importance of Being Earnest (Cecily) with Actors Ensemble of Berkeley.

Piper Smith is a 2022 graduate of Iowa State University and is just wrapping up her first year living in Minneapolis. BRUTUS is her debut performance in the Twin Cities. She looks forward to making more art and more memories here in Minnesota.

Lily is a actor, musician, and creator located in the Twin Cities. She is a senior at the University of Minnesota pursuing a double major in Theatre Arts and Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. This is her first fringe show and third time acting under the direction of Rebecca Wickert and Ella Eastman-Kiesow. She enjoys movement and vocal performance and has also worked in directing and stage management. Recent credits include “The Hairy Ape” (Combustible Company), “The Amateurs” (UMTAD), and “Silent Sky” (UMTAD)
