Cast and Crew
Tim MooneyTheseus, Demetrius, Bottom
Timothy Mooney, author of the acting textbook, Acting at the Speed of Life; Conquering Theatrical Style, has given thousands of students their first introduction to Molière through his one-man play, Molière Than Thou, drawn from his seventeen rhymed variations of Molière's plays, published and presented around the world. Now operating as the “Timothy Mooney Repertory Theatre,” Tim has added another dozen award-winning one-man plays to the mix, including SIX “Breakneck” Shakespeare plays, with plans to continue on through the entire canon. Tim has created a video home for these shows at BreakneckShakespeare.com!
Alison AndersonHermia, Titania, Snug

She has appeared in various shows with local theaters including Theatre in the Round, Guthrie Theater, Cromulent Shakespeare Company, Freshwater Theatre, Shakespeare and Company, Lyric Arts, Theater Terra Firma, Stages Theater, many varied productions in the MN Fringe Festival, and others. She is a company member of both Fearless Comedy Productions and Smartmouth Comedy Company.
Peter BuckholtzOberon, Lysander, Flute
"Breakneck Midsummer Night’s Dream" is Peter's first Fringe show since "Two Noble Kinsmen" in 2001. he has spent over 20 years playing characters at Renaissance Festivals, does occasional stage combat, musicals, and live theater in the Twin Cities. The last time he played Lysander was in a 2011 production of "Midsummer" at Perpitch Center for Arts Education. His most recent productions were the 2017 Human Combat Chess season and the 2019 Klingon Christmas Story at Mounds Theater. Recently he has been involved in costumed appearances for the 501st and Rebel Legion for charity.
Schmoo CutlipHippolyta, Helena and Snout
Schmoo (She/They/It) is a classically trained movement theater artist, a circus-bitten poet and a problem for the status quo. They’ve toured with dozens of companies across the US doing improv, comedy, puppetry, burlesque, vocals, kiting and circus acts. Just as important as their work in the arts is Schmoo’s career in grassroots community activism. Luckily these worlds diverge frequently and opportunities emerge that expand our collective wellness through artistic collaboration. Fringe festivals are brilliant at this and Schmoo is consensually tickled to be participating in the 30th Minneapolis Fringe! They can’t wait to see some friendly art and make some artsy friends.
J. Merrill MotzPhilostrate, Egeus and Peter Quince
J. Merrill Motz (rhymes with boats) is a playwright and storyteller who has been creating his own spin on solo shows for the MN Fringe as Paper Soul since 2013. He hosts Workplace Drama (a monthly storytelling show at Strike Theater), serves on the artist committee for the MN Fringe, and sits on the board for Theatre Pro Rata. Go see his solo show NPC! (Non-Player Character!) during Fringe down in the Rarig X.
Cindy Sherden is a Fringer in Orlando, where her last two credits were Stage Management and Technical Direction for the Patron’s Pick winning Coffee & Cedar, and Directing & Co-Producing Candles in the Dark, a benefit play for the Victim’s Service Center of Central Florida. Having recently retired from 20 years as a Theatre Arts teacher, Cindy is thrilled to be both in Minnesota and on her first Fringe tour!
