Character Comedy
At the start this show struck me as being a little light weight for all the tremendous reviews it’s getting. It’s starts slowly, not slow, but slowly and the magic wasn’t apparent to me . However, as it went along I slowly began to understand the layers of wit happening on stage at different levels and the TRUST the creators of this show had that the audience will “get” what they are presenting. This is sophisticated material presented as simple character driven storytelling. Yes. The solo actor tells a story, in a way like I have never seen. Here is a sophisticated presentation that at no point plays down to the audience and I loved it for that!

A 5 star show
It used to be if you got enough 5 star reviews even if one or two were a bit less than, you could still get an overall 5 star rating. But the system stopped working that way a few years ago. One less than 5 star kitty rating spoils the litter. That’s Not Right! If this show isn’t an overall 5 starer NO show is. Fun, Fun, Fun! SO much fun but with great wit also behind the pratfalls. I can’t even start to explain how everything gels and works in this thing. Go!

While there is no such thing…
These things well done leave a person stunned and astonished. I am in that category. While I know and can do the old “ guess which sock” trick, the manipulation of the mark and the seamlessness required to pull off these tricks is a sight to behold. Steven is just great and convincing. You long to know how he does it but of course you don’t REALLY want to know. Pleasant and understated our talented host here gives you the feeling he won’t be beaten nor will he fail. And he doesn’t. I loved it because he leaves you no way to see behind his veil.

Pure Fringe Fun!
Very tight show. Comedy play worthy of bigger things. This will be a hit everywhere! Come see!

Brave and Spellbinding
Tim delivers what is usually called a “warts and all” one man examination of a life VERY interestingly lived, so far. Most of his show is edge of your seat high energy stuff that is as witty as it is honest about some rather uncomfortable past behavior. Since I am not a fantasy board game buff I wasn’t interested in his work in that field, but that material did not take away from the extraordinary performance and honesty in his examination of a complex self. Just So Good!
