Come for the Pratfalls,Stay for the French Slander
Such a delightful, funny, entertaining play! The pratfalls were all creative, well set up, and perfectly executed. The multi track actor deserves a particular shout out for some crazy stunts. A great way to spend an hour
Loved it!
Very talented actors perform painful and hilarious stunts
Slapstick at its finest...with actual slapping!
If you are into the sort of cheesy slapstick comedy that is personified in masterpieces like Home Alone and Christmas Vacation, you will love this show! Tons of fun and nonstop laughing!
amazing physical comedy, best falls I've ever seen
I really loved this play! 10/10 if you like slapstick absurdism, both actors are incredible and add a lot in their own unique ways. Don't miss this one!
Alarming and tremendous!
So funny!
Fantastically funny
A delightful display of classic clownery! Silly slapstick with an extra added dose of nonsense, this show definitely came to play, and has a good time doing it. A must-see for anyone who needs a laugh.
Put this on your list!
Levi and Joshua as Comedy Suitcase are always worth watching. They’ve often done more sketch-based shows, this one had an actual plot that worked as a vehicle for the wacky physical hijinks while including healthy dose of clever and/or silly lines. Extremely funny.
Extraordinary
Two of the Twin Cities best comedic actors and playwrights live up to their deserved legendary status with a master class in comedy and storytelling with an hilarious and captivating script, spot on performances, and an amazing amount of expert ...well pratfalls. The two of them have created so much beautiful and memorable theater in their careers, and this is possibly their best. Go see them before they can't fall down anymore.
Slap-Happy!
What a fun show, full of impressively physical falls that left the audience (though thankfully not the performers!) in stitches. Make time for this on your schedule!
RIP Delbert
A deep, abiding love for physical comedy permeates every second of this whirlwind of a show. The performers transform Theatre in the Round into a slapstick playground that will bring out the inner child in just about anyone. This show is not to be missed!
This HAS to be on your schedule
Physical comedy done at an expert level. The envy i had for the talent of these two performers was insane. Their commitment and energy was infectious, and any artist, or comedian, needs to see this.
No-holds-barred pratfalls, life-changing laughs
These two have developed a Fringe following, and it's well-deserved: Fans of the duo’s earlier work will not be disappointed by this smartly funny, multi-character farce. This is a Must-See show, according to PiPress critics: https://www.twincities.com/2025/07/31/fringe-review-smart-farcical-the-gentlemens-pratfall-club-brings-the-pain/
Physical Comedy is BACK
I think it was Euripides who wrote "to make an omelette you've got to break some legs." Maybe it was eggs he was talking about? Either way I agree with the show's theme that Comedy is HARD and PAINFUL. Good physical clowning and great script too. Scrimshaw does multiple characters with ease and VERY differently. Great work!
A bit of a delightful mess
This high-energy show will captivate you. While the plot is a bit shaky and some of the bits fall flat, you’ll be glad you went.
Great Fun!
I had high expectations going in and the show met every one! Great gags of every stripe. Kudos to all, folks!
Laugh out loud
However many ways you think someone can fall with, triple it, and you will still be surprised and impressed. These two are magician-level physical comedians, and Scrimshaw is a masterful chameleon. Excellent combination of ridiculous slapstick and witty dialogue.
A 5 star show
It used to be if you got enough 5 star reviews even if one or two were a bit less than, you could still get an overall 5 star rating. But the system stopped working that way a few years ago. One less than 5 star kitty rating spoils the litter. That’s Not Right! If this show isn’t an overall 5 starer NO show is. Fun, Fun, Fun! SO much fun but with great wit also behind the pratfalls. I can’t even start to explain how everything gels and works in this thing. Go!

This show is hilarious, and these guys are charming. Go see this show soon so that you can go again. It was so much fun!!!
Worthy of 10 Kitties 🐈⬛ A ‘must see’ indeed
Skillful silliness at its best! If you’re looking for a roaring fun hour this show is where to go! If you’re not, then you really need this show… you should see it twice!
Clever and witty and so, so, slap sticky! Buy tickets NOW!
This show slaps (literally and figuratively)!
I was thoroughly entertained, supremely impressed, and just a little concerned about the physical wellbeing of the cast! All in all a fabulous show, very worth the watch!
A Fun Time
If a man wants a job as a children's tv host named Captain Clumsy, but he's unable to do a pratfall, what can he do?
A fun little comedy of two actors, doing excellent slips, trips, slaps, gaffes, and some witty words to tie it all together. I enjoyed myself.
Their Best Yet: Do Not Miss this One!
Comedy Suitcase duo Joshua English Scrimshaw and Levi Weinhagen remain the best of what Fringe Festival has to offer with fresh concepts each time out paired with brilliant mastery of their physical comedy craft. They work so well together and this time provide a show with dialogue through out. Scrimshaw chews the scenery with three hilarious nemesis types that go head to toe with Weinhagen's dopey straight man out of work actor. The belly laughs keep coming. True comic genius from these adorable dudes!
Excellent. Dick VanDyke & Jerry Lewis would be pr
Caught 3 Fringe shows on opening night tonight & this was by far the best of the bunch. I went because of the Scrimshaw reputation & they did not disappoint. Well written, laugh out loud fun and funny, great pace, great performances & all around great show. See this one soon while there are still seats available.
A total blast!
Hilarious physical comedy that’s witty and somehow oddly touching. I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. A must see!
Always a treat
You know you will get a solid show with Josh and Levi, and one that everyone can enjoy. This is another delightfully physical romp from the duo that will make you smile and laugh.
Expert Physical Comedy
I still don’t really know how they did all these physical bits without injury. My jaw dropped multiple times and I almost bit my tongue from shock laughing but that’s okay because comedy is pain. Simply marvelous with a lot of skills on display. Loved Scrimshaw’s character acting (and all the hats that came with it.)
Another fantastic show
Josh and Levi have done it again. Comedy Suitcase consistently brings fantastic shows to audiences and this year is no different. Humor, clever script, well performed. Highly recommended.
Falling In Love Again
Physical comedy is such a basic premise to gain laughs because it works almost every time. It certainly proves to provide a winning formula for a successful Minnesota Fringe show. Josh is a stand alone comedy genius ( or in this case fall alone), but add another skilled performer and you multiple the impact as clearly Levi does. This is simple pleasure and the crowd loved it as did I. When you tire of the deep angst offering populating fringe and want to feel good go to this production.
Pain is funny…
… and there is a lot to laugh at in this show! Come for the pratfalls, but it was the jokes that really landed.
Must see!
This was a hilarious and amazing show, a must see at Fringe!
Ouchie mama!!
This show slammed every expectation I had. Exceptional clown and physical comedy. The performances are masterful and it’s just a hootin’ good time! 10/10 would recommend.
Silly good fun for everyone
We loved this show! A very nice piece of physical comedy that cleverly celebrates the greats of the genre. Every audience member will enjoy it even if some Google Don Knotts after the show.
Josh & Levi have done it again!
After an evening of hard hitting storytelling, it was fun to see a silly slap happy comedy. These guys have been doing this for years, but it never gets old! They are still in great physical and comic form! Great for ALL ages!

Previous praise for The Gentlemen's Pratfall Club:
“Comedy hurts. Well, physical comedy of the slapstick stripe, anyway. Joshua Scrimshaw and Levi Weinhagen prove it in this clever, colorfully written comedy about a desperate-for-work actor trying to fill the slippery shoes of the recently deceased Captain Clumsy and keep his kid-targeted TV show alive.” – Pioneer Press
“Scrimshaw is fearless in his antics; he is both the Acme steamroller and Wile E. Coyote.” –Twin Cities Daily Planet
