Company: JexArzayus Productions
Show: La Tunda: A Reimagining of a Colombian Folklore
Venue: Mixed Blood

Magical mythology put to life!

This show had so many gems scattered throughout, and such lovely messaging to bring to a Fringe audience. I'm so glad I could attend!! Performances by Diego and Ankita really stood out to me, and captured the depth of their characters lives and their home. This is the type of show meant for the fringe festival

Company: Cora Casper
Show: INSOMNIA DOGS
Venue: Mixed Blood

Beautifully Written, Authentic Characters

Each performer embodied their character so well and I think the writing, casting and acting are all to credit here. This show was believable in its surreal moments, and touching when down-to-earth. Got to see at their 10pm show and it was the perfect vibe, I hope this company continues to create and they should all be very proud. Catch this one if you can!!!!

Company: KAIROS Dance Theater
Show: husk/vessel
Venue: The Southern Theatre

Experimental and Moving

Even if you're not a dance-inclined audience member, this show is a must see. Both the soundscape and choreography demonstrate the dedication and intentionality that have been poured into this show, along with the sheer athleticism and intelligence the dancers show. Their vision and messaging is clear and truly could not have been said with words. Thank you for making me think in a way I hadn't before!

Company: Third Space Theater
Show: Breach
Venue: Theatre in the Round

WOAHH

Hard to say more than what's already been said about this show, it does so much within the hour and the time flew by! Worth all the hype, incredible use of the space and all technical elements, strong central vision that you can tell everyone was on (or occasionally over)board for. I haven't had a play hold me in suspense the way this one did in a while, I only wish it could've been longer. Truly, so well done!

Company: Octoberdandy Productions
Show: Clown Funeral
Venue: Theatre in the Round

So Sweet!!

Wasn't initially planning on seeing this show but I'm so glad I did. Even in the jokes the clowns make at each other, you see the characters' care for their friends, remembering the small things they do(or did) in life that bring joy. Great improv skills and audience engagement, and many fun surprises!
