engaging and magical
This was one of the most unique story-lines I saw at fringe this year! Left feeling full of joy and curious to learn more about how this concept came to be. I was in awe of the set and costume design. I felt like there was a lot of passion and exploration happening onstage and I hope these artists create more shows!

Such a creative show. I loved the sound/lighting design and in general I thought the tech elements elevated the show to another level. Smart staging. Ensemble was great, I was especially impressed with Emma Kessler's performance.

Brilliant and Relevant
On top of a stellar cast, impeccable script, and brilliant direction, this show speaks volumes right now as we see the effects of capitalism and climate disaster. Incredibly relevant and captivating. I was invested in every individual character’s journey, and that’s a tall ask in one hour. They had us on the edge of our seats. Congrats to this group of artists for creating something so special and thought-provoking.

Hilarious and Heartfelt
I knew this show would be hilarious, but I was also struck by the way the relationships between the girls were explored. Aside from being laugh-out-loud funny, meaningful commentary on friendship and femininity is interwoven. Absolutely killer cast. So much talent, impeccable writing. You will not regret seeing this show.

Company: The Winding Sheet Outfit
Show: The Spirit Moves You To Color The Unseen
Venue: Rarig Stoll Thrust Theatre
emotional, educational, and visually stunning
The Winding Sheet Outfit created a beautiful piece honoring an important artist while incorporating elements of her artistic style into the piece itself. Hilma’s work was honored through physical movement representative of her art, literal images of her artwork, and the spiritual essence of her work is captured through color and sound. Gorgeous, impactful costume design and powerful performances from the entire ensemble. The script finds a perfect balance between moments of straightforward educational storytelling and poetic risks that trust the audience to interpret for themselves.
