Until now, I didn't realize I too could become rat-like. this show really helped with that and changed my perspective. I eat trash now.

Never heard of them? Neither had we!

So this was just a mystery. We attended The Church of Ratology's first show at 10pm on Fringe Wednesday. Large audience (a bit odd); unbelievably enthusiastic audience (even odder, especially since we hadn't heard of this troupe before and they didn't have much Additional Information on their web page); and an audience of mostly GenX/Y folks with artists' lanyards. Turns out that this group is a big deal in Chicago .... had we known the target audience in advance, we might have skipped it. Goofy, silly, and many of the jokes beyond our boomer mentality. Though my rating isn't particularly high, given the enthusiastic audience that is familiar with the group, I'm expecting lots and lots of high reviews.

Prophetic dream

After attending a 10pm rat mass I had a dream about it that same night. In the dream I was back in high school and taking a ceramics class. In the classroom there was a poster warning us about the rat devil. In the dream I also had a tattoo of geodude that I thought was very cool and was hoping it would impress a boy in my class. I’m still trying to figure out what the rat god is trying to tell me, but I will be booking a tattoo appointment asap.

My final Fringe attendance before having to leave the state for a while. Can't imagine a stronger note to end on, by no exaggeration a transcendent experience.

From the Bar, to Communion & More

I love meeting and supporting traveling artists. Meeting Joseph and Perry at the After Fringe bar helped me choose my final day of shows. I am so glad that I, a Catholic School gradate from Montessori trough college, went to this show. It was very entertaining, irreverent, glorious, and trash! Maybe a bit of preaching to the choir with the assistance of the choir and lots of interactions with the audience. It was a blast. I hope they are returning artist and vacationers!

I didn’t know anything about this one before going in. I thought a rat went to church? I couldn’t have seen this coming and it’s best I didn’t! There is something gleefully dirty about this level sacrilege! I loved it so much I bought the dang shirt!

Best hour of my life

Out of all the shows THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED TO SEE. It was brilliant and so unique!!!!!! I never laughed so hard!!!!!!!
