Wow
Kudos to Jeffrey Nolan for not only adapting the novel, but performing an almost one-man show! Compelling, well-written, well-performed and very well directed . Just the right amount of audience participation to feel like we are part of the world of the play.

This Is A Really Good Show!
To be honest, I didn't think that I would like this show as much as I did. I was seeing it because I had friends in it. BUT THIS SHOW ROCKED! Expertly written and directed. The script was clever and sustained the premise and the humor for the entirety of the show. And every actor was excellent. Go see it!

Always See A Winding Sheet Outfit Show
I have always been delighted at every "Winding Sheet Outfit" show that I have seen. I don't know if I saw every single one, but each one that I have seen has stuck in my memory. This is no exception. They blend movement, words, practical visual/sound effects, and a little bit of meta-theatrics to make a poetic and moving show. Go see it.

Master Improv Artists
2 master improv artists, then add in Shanan Custer, another master improv artist who is always at the top of her game in everything she does, the result = hilarious bliss. I don't tend to go to a lot of improv shows at Fringe, but I couldn't pass up seeing these three people together, and I'm so glad that I did.
Company: Theatre on the Rocks
Show: A Good Cancer to Have
Venue: Mixed Blood
Very Well Done
I wanted to title this review "Go See It, He Had Cancer For Chrissakes!", as I think it would have made Sam Sweere laugh. But that's exactly what Sam and Hannah Steblay, the director, bring to the show. A cheeky irreverence, while still retaining an emotional vulnerability. This is a lot more loosey-goosey than Sam's show last year, but it will make you laugh and make you tear up.
Company: Jennifer Vosters
Show: Songs Without Words (or, The Mendelssohn Play)
Venue: Rarig Nolte Xperimental Theatre
Get Tickets While You Still Can!
This out-of-town performer nearly sold out her first show at 10 PM on a Thursday, and rightfully so! Not only is the writing seamless in its weaving of the several themes throughout the show , but Jennifer Vosters performance is seamless as she inhabits both siblings throughout the show. Powerful, humorous, and moving. Catch it if you can!
