In the shadow of genius
Motz goes just up to the edge of almost-too-clever-ness in his play-within-a-play-within-a-lecture gone wrong, but pulls it out with a rare glimpse of the travails of living in the shadows of genius, and judging yourself against those transcendent few who walk among us.

Redemption from the dark side
I was lucky enough to catch Howard Lieberman for a full hour of his engrossing tale of shunning relatives, successful career, brief marriage and eventual turn away from the dark side of being a "corporate shill," to a redemptive vision of a life well lived.

Good for loads o' laughs
Alisa laughs at herself and invites us to laugh along with her, which is really laughing at OURselves, because we recognize ourselves and all of our own foibles, in her.

A real story
This was a comfortable telling of a real life story. Like life, it doesn't seem to have a particular beginning or end so much as it has themes and trends, personality quirks and resolutions, lessons learned and lessons forgotten. Winnie is an engaging conversationalist.
