liked the dancer the most
I liked the dancer the most in this variety show as I have enjoyed attending burlesque shows before. saw this one as I recall getting a response from Kendra on a Twitter posting where I spoke of being an usher at Fringe in the past. I would have enjoyed the show more if Kendra had showed off some of her talent in performance art. telling the story of landing a Fringe show- and then putting a show together- didn't do much for me. piano player was OK but would have enjoyed it more had the songs been hits that many would have heard before. likely my first exposure to Japanese performance art, with the lion and the drummers.

funny but also honest
saw this show as I know Amber from the stand-up comedy circuit. I have seen solo shows before and my hat is off to those who do them as I know it is not easy to do. Amber made me laugh at times, but I also liked the serious parts of it because of the honesty. I even said 'Yeah!' at one point when the advice was to take a walk, as I know this helps me. I capped the festival with attending this show and it was a good one to end with.

some good moments to it
saw it because I had seen previous shows Heather Meyer was in. She is still good at being dour, but in this one showed more of her range, also being animated when mocking someone. main character also was good. but the show needs work. the lady in the black outfit was introduced really late as the director, but seemed more like a stagehand or narrator. costume changes are meant to be hidden as well, but wasn't in this show, where was the curtain for that and the art images? and why not get a man to play the villainous man? too much of a stretch to have one of the ladies playing the man and her main role.

some stories better than others
liked some stories better than others. best one likely was the dude from Chicago, finally finding his community. but many others were as well, the yellow jumpsuit lady about her neighborhood, the blue haired lady as well, and the little falls senior perm pic. this is being given a middling rating because of two performers. the lady who said she was going to tell us a story about her sexual assault kept repeating herself and didn't tell much of a story at all. along with the MC, who gave a joke intro and at the end asked for only good reviews. I will rate a show the way i see fit.

nonverbal dance works for me
i hadn't seen that many shows like this one before, nonverbal dance, but it works for me. the music usually reminded people if it was a happy or dark or sad scene. and how the curtains were used made sense as well when coupled with the music being used.
