Show: Romeo and Juliet: Lottery Style

Favorite show of the Fringe so far
This is a very well done take on Romeo and Juliet. It’s easy to follow who is playing which characters, even though it’s randomly decided at the beginning of the show (honestly in some ways easier in the early stages of the story than in a “normal” production). They’ve distilled the script down to fit into the one hour slot but left all the beauty of the language and the emotional weight of the story. The actors’ care, passion, and skill make this my favorite show out of the 32 I’ve seen so far this year, and I think it’ll be hard to beat. Go see it!

Phil has an amazing ability to make terrible experiences compelling and funny (and moving and thought-provoking). Highly recommended!!
