Inspired, heartbreaking, powerful must watch

It’s hard to put into words how I feel about this show, but I can say that I was well and truly moved. It’s about what it means to live, what it means to love, and the beauty and pain of hope. Sometimes it’s easy to feel like life is something happening to you and this show is a reminder to not take any person or any moment for granted. To share and celebrate what it means to be humans together in this crazy world. The value of really, truly knowing someone. The vulnerability and raw emotion had me captivated and I was in tears by the end. Thank you for bearing your soul to us and for giving us the gift of knowing you through this work.

Thank you Phi(ve)

This show has a message we all can relate to- we perform because we love it and we want to share that love with others. The blocking was polished and they handled performing in the round well, and everyone hit their cues, but there was a general stiffness that made many of the moments fall short of their potential. For a play about connecting, I was disappointed to see the characters all disliked each other so thoroughly it was shocking they stayed together at all. Phi Hamens Nelson was the standout actor in the show and brought lots of life and passion to his role, if you see this one, he’s one to watch.

Venue: Strike Theater

They understood the assignment!!

Wow, this show was clean, tight, and full of nonstop laughs!! The actors did a fantastic job of building on the gems left by their counterparts and finding ways to make each moment that much more hilarious. Each character had such a clear and distinct life arc and I love how completely the actors committed to each of the bits. I don’t think I’ll ever stop laughing at “God is breaking up with you”.

A fun time that got me in the feels more than I expected. I appreciate the way he leaned into the vulnerability alongside the laughs

A Fringe Favorite

As someone who has seen 10 shows so far this Fringe I can confidently say this is one of my favorites. I knew from the previews it was going to be funny but it far exceeded my expectations in every way. Such high energy and commitment from both actors throughout combined with fun physicality and perfect synchronicity in the improvised moments. My biggest surprise was how fantastic their voices were! Definitely a show you won’t want to miss.

Such a talented troupe!

Wow! There is a lot to love about this show. The actors clearly have a lot of experience performing together and felt so in sync throughout the entire show. I was especially blown away by how alive the puppet felt at all times and how many fun ways the actors played with physicality surrounding the puppet. The live musician did a fantastic job of setting the mood and it was so perfect I kept forgetting that was all improvised as well! I only wish the standup comedian felt more connected to the overall show’s story instead of an 10 minute intermission. Great job everyone!
