Unique innovative and so much fun!

My husband and I traveled all the way from CA to see this show and we were inspired and delighted. The script is funny smart and whimsical. The puppets amazing! Definitely see this show!

Great show!

We enjoyed the music and sound effects that accompanied this show. And the spaceship was very cool! The characters were all so fun to watch.

A Fun, Colorful Journey to a New World!

This was such a delightful start to my fringe experience! The design aspects of this show were lovely and whimsical, and lent to the fun nature of the script!!! Cast is wonderful; Gabby Rosen is a talent you don’t want to miss at this year’s festival. Fringe can have a lot of heavy material, so if you want to see a funny heartwarming, and campy show, i recommend this one!

A MUST SEE!

We loved this show! What a creative, imaginative delight. The acting was brilliant, I loved the cast energy. One of my favorite parts was watching the smiles on kid's faces in the audience. A real gem.

What a fun and whimsical show! From the story, to the acting, all the way to the sound design, props, and set pieces! This show shows what an amazing world you can create with just a little cardboard!

Maybe more fun for kids

The show summary says "perfect for ages 5 -105" and other reviewers have noted that their kids loved it. As for us (65+), not so much. Overly complex scenery requiring too many, long scenery changes; hard to see where this was going, thus difficult to become invested with the characters; some cringy moments for a kid's play (adults in kids room, pointing admitedly fake gun at others); difficulty understanding some characters' projection.

My nieces loved it!

And I loved the cool spaceship that moved so quick on stage!

Entertaining and just plain fun!!

This sweet show made me laugh. The music and sound effects enhanced the story in a magical way. Actors embraced their roles and made this fun and entertaining!

Charming, fun, entertaining. It feels like they had a blast making this show. Really wonderful props and set, imaginative story. I loved Drew's physicality, so captivating!

A fun world lacking motives

This is from seeing show #5. In one sentence: children seemed to enjoy the visuals built for them, but seeing many of those same kiddos shifty throughout the performance suggests folks leave without deep lessons learned.In three sentences: the environments built for this sweet tale are fantastical with plenty of props and sounds, giving a great plate of playfulness. But even children’s theatre can put on a Pixar effect, and frequent entrances of later explained characters plus little character relationship development made for a tough sit at times. I hope the show furthers its growth, as it deserves to be a tale to remember.

Absolutely charming

How fun to see a kid-friendly show at the Fringe! This was inventive, colorful, and off-the-wall, with the best physical comedy acting I've seen in a long time. Everyone committed fully to the fantasy world of the story, the props and effects were cool and very well managed, and there was live music accompanying the show throughout. Great, silly fun for all ages.

Made me smile!

This wacky, quirky play got me out of my head and into the moment! Fun storyline, great acting, fun use of puppets throughout, and the music and lighting were perfect accents. It’s awesome to see something created out of love!

I loved this show to the moon and back!

I LOVED THIS SHOW! The set design exceeded all expectations! The use of props and costumes were fabulous! I've seen over 20 shows at this point and in terms of set design and aesthetic- this show wins! I found the story entertaining and well acted. The physicality was fun and it felt magical. If you are on the fence, GO!

The props and costumes alone are totally worth the ticket! Add the stellar performances and live sound?! Sheesh, what a Fringy treat.

If you need to feed your inner child go. Great props and fun costumes. Happy ending too. Great things in future for talented cast.

Good Children's Theater

Such a joy to witness! The staging was really well-done, and the actors perfectly created the world. Loved the puppetry, and the writing was just so, so sweet. The tech elements were super cool - creating the light for the moons, the puppets & over-the-top costumes were amazing, and that rocket ship! Wow! Had just enough fun & joy and little references for the adults to appreciate, like the Dark Side of the Moon inspired design on the ship. It was lovely to experience, and had a good message for kids & adults alike. Highly recommend, even if you're not a child. Filled with so, so much silliness and joy

A lot of fun!!

This show was very well done - my whole family really enjoyed it. Our 7-year old and 9-year old dubbed it "cool" and "funny" - high praise for sure. They had big smiles and were on the edge of their seats throughout. Highly recommended!

Content Warnings

I liked the production design and music, and the performances were fine, but I disliked the script. The pace was uneven and the plot was unfocused, and there were a few things that might make the show unnecessarily disturbing for children: 1. The teenage protagonist repeatedly says the word "kidnapping" when she first meets the other main character. 2. There are two instances of adults visiting the teenager in her bedroom: first her teacher visits her (while supervised by her mom) and then another character sneaks into her bedroom at night and wakes her up while trying to steal something. 3. They repeatedly use a shrink ray shaped like a cartoony toy gun, including pointing it at the protagonist; it's not a realistic prop gun, but it would have worked just as well to use something more like a remote control. For what it's worth, the 5 and 8 year-olds who I brought to see the show seemed to enjoy it more than I did, and the cast seemed to be having a good time too.

Great family fun!

Our 6 & 9yo loved the zany acting and puppetry. The play was lively and well-produced. They put on a great show!
