Short Show Lacking Energy and Polish

Sketch is hard--ask the cast of SNL '85. It takes a lot of work to make the jokes and performances land and quickly move between scenes. It didn't happen here (Show #2). One of the pair didn't have the frenetic energy of the other, and the lack was a black hole sucking the fun out of the show. Said performer also handled a cigar prop so poorly it took me out of the scene, but I'll admit that might be a person thing. With more quality content, I feel this could be a fairly entertaining show, but as it stands, I'm glad it ran in just over half the allowed time.

Clever, entertaining

This show was cleverly written. Lighthearted, smooth transitions, easy to watch, entertaining. Found myself smiling throughout!

Fun concept with some funny moments

The show has a fun sketch comedy format and i was laughing out loud during the explanation of what sketch comedy is. A promising start, however the following scenes were inconsistently funny.

Grad-Level Make-Believe & Other Required Courses

Ever wonder what an “off day” looks like for Grandolf? What about how to properly arrange all your Van Damme memes? Is there an “impossible burger” option for cannibals? This show was like falling inside of an artist’s notebook of ideas. A real “Never-ending Story” meets “Mr. Show” situation.

Hill Too Steep?

This show was very close to being very good. The content was dense and generally well written and based upon interesting ideas. The performances had real promise. But, many of the jokes didn't quite land for me. The idea behind the LOTR sketch connected with me, but it didn't quite hit home. I can't help but wonder if the pace had been a little slower, if the show would have worked better. At points, it just felt like too much too fast.
