Nailed it, and/or Railed It

A witty script that starts out kinda wholesome, jumps the tracks onto something completely different, but still ends up wholesome after all. This is a gem that you will want to see, Spirit of the Fringe award if not more. Well rehearsed and full of energy, AA or plug in. I'm also glad to see any set that is more than just a table and chair, I liked the look. All aboard, you are in for an unsuspecting ride!

The less you know, the better

This show is a lot of fun. Great writing and cast. All I can say is that the less you know about the show, the better.

What did I just see???

Like one of the reviews said, it took me a couple minutes to get into the humor, but I definitely could not help but laugh for the whole show! I will never look at model trains the same way again.

“It’s ridiculous… I like it”

This is what I whispered to someone at the show. It took me a few minutes to get into the humor, and there are definitely a few things including cringe moments, but I ended up laughing so much. I met the writer and told her how fabulous the jokes were. This was my first fringe show this season and I was skeptical, but I highly recommend.

A 🤩!

This show was entertaining from lights up to lights out. A total makeover of a small business with a few surprises along the way. Good ensemble cast.

Crass, But Well-Written

Better as a cable TV sitcom pilot than a Fringe production.

so uncomfortable

why? why did i sit in the front row?! i was so uncomfortable, and im not scared or shy about sex. every woman was either a secretary, or sex object, it was full of jr high bro humor. you know those sitcoms where fully grown men high five each other because their wives had sex with them, and you think to yourself, “grow up”, this had that vibe. there were a few funny jokes, but not enough. there was a bit were Mark read to Gil from penthouse. so uncomfortable.

I Think I Can

Comedy is subjective. I was lured into this play having read multiple reviews lauding the play’s ability to deliver on the laughs. There’s a very handsome set and a talented cast. The premise of toy trains and sex workers intertwining their skill set is tempting. I just wanted a few more laughs, a little more raunch, or maybe a greater collective push of the envelope. The genuine laughs were spread out a little too far, but I’m still glad I checked out the choo-choos from this comedy.

I am not a prude and am pro sex worker for men, women, and those who identify in between. But there is a right way and an uncomfortable way to pull off this kind of plot line. The show felt like it was full of 'antics and hijinks' that you might expect from a Disney Channel sitcom, which paired with prostitution plot line, does not a comfortable story make. The penthouse reading was more cringe than edgy as it didn't come off as satirical in the slightest. The turn of events were fun, but the vibe was not right. It had more of a creepy vibe to it than quirky. I felt really uncomfortable at the multiple veiled masturbation references the friend makes. I actually felt upset at a line that was said- referring to the stake out: 'All those girls in costume coming and going, I had to go home and take care of that.' The set was cool. I liked the shop.
