Truth or Truth

By DallaDanna Productions

Created by Michael DallaValle & Danna Sheridan

The audience asks our performers and guest storytellers the tough questions, and then we improvise scenes based on the stories being told. It's like "Truth or Dare?" without the potentially problematic stuff.

Cast and Crew
Michael DallaValle
Director/Improviser
Michael DallaValle is an improviser based in the Twin Cities. Since beginning his improv career in 2011, he has performed in numerous improv troupes, including DillyDallHaus, Nimblicity, The Rusty Nails, and Glorious Humans, as well as a five-year stint in the improv juggernaut, Family Dinner. Michael was also a co-producer (along with Danna Sheridan) of the hit show, Love Is Blind--Improvised, at Strike Theater, which will be returning for a season 2 early next year. When he's not doing improv, Michael is probably scratching his cats' ears, reading the rules to a complicated board game, or lost in a YouTube spiral.
Danna Sheridan
Director/Improviser
Danna Sheridan is an improviser and storyteller in the Twin Cities. She is the winner of the 2022 Strike Story Slam competition, and her main storytelling goal is to make you laugh and cry and laugh again. She improvises with ComedySportz and in the show she co-created "Let Me Say This About That", which won the "Spirit of the Fringe" award at the 2023 Tucson Fringe Festival - now playing at the Rarig Xperimental!
Jex Arzayus
Improviser
Jex Arzayus is a Latinx trans non-binary actor in Minneapolis. Jex has been acting and performing professionally for 8 years. You can find Jex performing on the improv stage at HUGE Theater in Minneapolis. Jex is excited to be a part of Fringe. You can also watch Jex's original play, “Lock-In" at the Twin Cities Horror Festival in October 2023. Jex will also be appearing in Creature Feature at HUGE Theater in September and October. Jex also owns a comic book/record shop called WizardWax in South Minneapolis.
Mandi Bedbury
Improviser
Chris Davis
Storyteller
Chris Davis started doing improv comedy in 2000 and stand up comedy in 2003. He is a member of Ugly Baby Improv, ETC Improv, and hosts Fresh Ground Comics, Birmingham's longest running local comedy showcase. Chris performs comedy, theater, appears in commercials, corporate videos, print ads and hosts many different events around town including The Birmingham Moth StorySlam. He’s been fortunate enough to have opened for Janeane Garofalo, Al Madrigal, Michael Ian Black, Hannibal Buress, Brian Posehn, Jen Kirkman and performed comedy sets at two TEDX Birminhgam events in Birminhgam, Alabama.
Madde Gibba
Storyteller
Madde Gibba is a comedy creator who has been fluttering around the world making people laugh for a real long time. From slinging funny haha's on the high seas with Chicago's historic Second City, to producing her original one-woman musical comedy shows at New York's Duplex Cabaret and The PIT. Madde has created and performed in original sketch comedy work at Los Angeles’ Upright Citizens Brigade, Hollywood Improv Lab, and Comedy Central Stages — because, let’s face it— the west coast shouldn’t be free from enduring her hot comedy takes. Having grown up in the Twin Cities, she has performed with Tony Award-winning Minneapolis companies such as The Guthrie and Children's Theater Company, produced new work for Illusion Theater, and is an alumni of the satirical Brave New Workshop Comedy Theater. In addition to the stage, she has produced, written, and hosted web content for celebrity Chef Andrew Zimmern, hosted a weekly arts and entertainment radio program on MyTalk107.1, and was featured smoking a cigarette while wearing an unfortunate buttercup yellow turtleneck in the critically-acclaimed indie film 'Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter' (appearing at SxSW and Sundance Film Festivals in 2015).
Eric Heiberg
Improviser
Sam Landman
Storyteller
Besides being in “Truth or Truth,” Sam’s involved in two Fringe shows this year (in various capacities). He’s the drummer + voice of Slenderman in “Stabby Stab Stab” at the Crane Theater & co-producer + tech for “Chris Davis Does Stuff” at Strike Theater, starring his pal Chris Davis from their shared hometown of Birmingham, AL. He’s written/performed for many festivals & theaters over the years, from one-person shows like “Sam of All None” & “Lilac Drive” to the improvised holiday tradition of “Family Dinner” at HUGE. He’s also landed roles at History Theatre, Park Square, Yellow Tree Theatre, Girl Friday Productions & Sandbox Theatre somehow. These days, he’s writing a horror show about a lead singer in a Goth band who kills her bandmates, while writing/shooting sketches for a “comedy” group called Plaza del Mall. Occasionally, he DJs under the handle of GustAvocados.
Angelique Lisboa
Improviser
Angelique Lisboa is a Minnesota/Texas native and has been doing comedy for two years. Improviser to some, stand-up to others, and weird lady to all. For MN Fringe, you can also catch her in JOY! Sketch Show. For not Fringe, you can catch her at HUGE Theater, Strike Theater, and in your dreams, if you play your cards right.
Heather Meyer
