My Kind of Fringe Show
This show is the Castle Danger Cream Ale of Fringe Shows. It goes down easy while containing subtle notes of more complex themes. If you are looking for a break from the over hopped and edgy or the light and forgettable, this is your show. Perfect for sharing on a late summer evening with a group of friends.
The Mind Of A Solo Fringe Artist
First, any solo show automatically gets an extra star from me just for the undertaking involved in writing, producing, directing, and acting involved. Even with that, the flow of consciousness Wells steers throughout - from the fear of getting off the waitlist to pop culture television and movies to action figures, culminating in the realization that he is really for real in the Fringe - is a ride any veteran Fringe producer will enjoy reliving, and any fan will enjoy seeing from the outside looking in. My only regret is not bringing my teenage kids: the content is perfectly PG-13, and they would have loved and appreciated most if not all of Wells' references, frustrations, and triumphants.

Wells is a terrific storyteller with insights that make you laugh and think! Grab some friends an enjoy ride...it's fast and furious!
Well Delivered but Less than Hoped
I'm not a creator and I don't envy anyone the task, but this one fell a bit flat for me. Perhaps it was too much repetition with minor variation eating the time. Perhaps I just didn't connect with this one like I have with many others. Not a bad show, just not a memorable one either.
Very Fringey Show
I liked the concept: a long-time waitlister, first time Fringer whose show is a series of recursive digressions, all delivered by a story teller who either is completely amped to be in front of an audience or about ready to break down from stage fright. Solid show in a tiny venue.
Lots of laughs
A fascinating glimpse into the mind of a Fringe writer and performer, we saw a wide range of emotions, from total fear to utter joy. Lots of observations of the ridiculous paired with a touching story of childhood redemption. The show was a perfect example that there truly is something magical about thinking outside the box. Bravo.
A Fringe Show about Making a Fringe Show
I am familiar with the wait list and familiar with being a "doer" as Wells calls the artists. I laughed a lot, although some of the jokes started to wear on me as they came back around. There were some great peaks, and a few valleys, but overall I liked it.
Tears of Laughter
At times when Wells was summarizing his friend's imaginary movie franchise I was laughing of hard I cried. I appreciate the respect Wells has for librarians who work in taxpayer-funded Blockbuster, IIRC.
Excellent!
I thoroughly enjoyed this show and laughed nearly non-stop. As Grant wrote, definitely "a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a Fringe writer and performer". I echo the well-articulated reviews written here by Grant, Delano, and Adam. I'd see it again and bring more people if I were going to be in town. Excellent!
saved from the agony of F&F franchise
now, i never need to subject myself to fast cars furiously being driven. this sounds exactly like the kind of thing you’d do if you had to create a show from scratch, but didn’t already have something in mind due to perpetual waitlisting. i left with my cheeks hurting from laughing so hard. i knocked my feet together out of joy from the jokes. i’m so glad i got this into my fringe sched!
I was laugh crying at "jet chair"the movie
This one probably won't be for everyone. It's a one person show about Wells trying -- and failing -- to find a topic for his Fringe show. Along the way Wells' structure comes in waves, and it can be hard to follow exactly why we're hearing any single, particular story along the way. By the end, tho, it's a weird and lovely hilarious not-quite return to things Wells described before! Enjoy the journey, because it's full of funny one-liners and ends in a very funny way!
Funny musings
A fun romp through the mind of Wells. If he gets in next year, I'd love to hear more stories from the mix of all his "guys." All that toy talk made my 90s heart happy!

Writer, Producer, Performer
Wells Farnham discovered a love for the stage at an early age, and continued along the path of actor/performer all the way through college. After an extended break, he got the itch to return and started stand-up & improv classes at Stevie Ray's Improv Comedy, working his way up to full member of the troupe. Since then, Wells has performed around the Twin Cities, with multiple companies, on multiple stages, while also developing as a host, comic, and storyteller. Particular highlights are his work with Stevie Ray's, Meat & Cheese Improv, and Tim Dybevik's 50th birthday roast. He now takes the total of those experiences, the guidance, gifts, and lessons from many peers, and comes to the MN Fringe stage with something he's never done before... his first solo show.
