Sterling Melcher
Creator - ProducerSterling Melcher is a founding member of Tree.Lock//Productions, a dance/theater company that utilizes cross-disciplinary practices to investigate themes surrounding the absurd, post-humanism, performance theory, and the silly little goose that lives inside all of us and just wants to be released into its best days of causing chaos. He is a graduate of the Pig Iron School MFA program, and his work has been presented in bicycle shops, cheesesteak shops, basement studios, warehouse work-live spaces, bars, and the MN and Philly Fringe respectfully and simultaneously.
Meg Singh
Creator - ProducerMeg Kirchhoff Singh is a dance teaching artist, choreographer and co-founding member of Tree.Lock//Productions invested in embodied ways of knowing. Her work is rooted in creative, collaborative praxis. Meg's live performances and screen dances have been presented at conferences and festivals across the US, such as DUMBO Dance Festival, American College Dance Festival and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She holds a B.A. in Dance from St. Olaf College and an M.F.A. in Dance from the State University of New York at Buffalo. "The Professionals" will be her third Minnesota Fringe Festival Production.
Jack Mai Verhagen
Creator - PerformerFrom sunny Southern California, Jack participated in many different avenues of performance growing up. Now located in Minneapolis, he's returned to dance as an adult and is excited to work on broadening his horizons. This will be his MN Fringe debut!
Josie Ramler
Creator - PerformerJosie is a Minneapolis based actor and graduate from Luther College. Recent credits include Helen in “Glory” at Theatre in the Round Players, X in “Devoured” at the Playwrights Center/Southern Theatre, and Dr. James in “The Effect” at the Commonweal Theatre. They are excited to be working with Tree.Lock in their first Fringe production! josieramler.com
Courtney Larson
Creator - PerformerCourtney Larson is thrilled to be taking part in the MN Fringe festival this year. This festival will be her first theatre performance in the Twin Cities as she just moved here from college in Duluth. She graduated this spring from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a BFA in musical theatre and a minor in psychology. Recent credits include Sally Bowles in Cabaret (UMD), Francine in Jersey Boys (Duluth Playhouse), and Ensemble in Cinderella (Duluth Playhouse). Cate Jackson
Creator - PerformerCate is a local actor and creator who has worked with Lyric Arts, Jackdonkey Productions, Sparkle Theatricals, Nimbus Theater, An Alleged Theater Co, TrP, TheatreX, Smartmouth Comedy, Live Action Set and many more. When not onstage she is usually babying her plants or can be seen wandering wherever there are trees.
Zakary Morton
Creator - PerformerZakary is excited to be returning to the MN Fringe. When not performing, they enjoy napping, trying new mustache shapes, and a third thing they'll decide later.
More Information
Tree.Lock//Productions is a Minneapolis based experimental performance group, emphasizing contemporary dance, physical theater, devised performance, and interdisciplinary collaborations. They have been featured in the Minnesota Fringe Festival, Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Philly Free Fringe, and a park bench along the Mississippi River. Past productions include 'Split/Screen' - a multimedia dance duet taking place simultaneously in two cities - 'I Have To Pay My Rent' - a cheesesteak shop takeover performance anout unfinished work - and 'Bench' - a durational performance art piece about noticing the small things in our food production. Tree.Lock//Productions is founded by Sterling Melcher and Meg Singh.
