The Heart of the Fringe
Anyone who knows Motz can tell you that he lives and bleeds Fringe. He's one of the most welcoming and warm-hearted people, which is why it's so wonderful that he shares his self and his vulnerability with us on stage. This is a show for anyone who feels like they are a side character in their own life. It's a show for anyone who needs encouragement to pick up the sword. It's a show for anyone who isn't sure how to view themselves as a main character. The structure could use some additional tying together so we as the audience understand the story's trajectory a little earlier on. But the heart and soul are there throughout. I'll always believe in Motz and I know he'll never stop believing in all of us.

A Bedtime Story for Children and Adults
This show is charming and magical. Andrew's physicality is authentically childlike and whimsical in the best possible way. It energizes the show even in moments of stillness. Nichole brings a wonderful stubborn yet earnest quality to the friendship of these two kids. Easily my favorite time I have ever seen adults play kids on stage. This show is sure to bring a smile to your face and warm your heart.

Show: ABSURDITY: a burlesque experience
Venue: Rarig Center Thrust
Love the insight into the celebration of burlesque
I wasn't sure how the absurdity would present itself in the show, but it was fantastic. I love that the voiceover brings you in and encourages you to view burlesque as a way to celebrate and embrace the human body. Additionally, the "suit" character provides a great way in for people who are new to or may be nervous about burlesque. I would have liked a little bit cleaner dancing, but overall the stage pictures and heart of the show was exceptional.

A Wonderful Exploration of Time and Denial
This show features impeccable physicality that brings the world and its danger to life. I was engaged throughout the piece and the writing is overall very strong, but I found myself wanting a little more clarity in the overarching goal about halfway through. It becomes clear later on, but I would have liked to follow the path just a little closer. That said, the show has great bones and I would highly recommend adding it to your Fringe schedule. This show will only get better with time and I'm excited to see where it goes.

The Best Shrieking You've Ever Heard
I've said it once and I'll say it again. The Shrieking Harpies never disappoint. If you're looking for incredible musical improv that'll have you laughing non-stop, you need to see this show. Today, we got a wonderful family friendly gay period piece about Sir Todd. Prominent songs included "Fall Off the Edge of the World With Me," "RSVP Yes," and "What Kind of Woman do You Want?"

THIS IS A MUST SEE
This show is absolutely heart-wrenching in the best possible way. The seamless combination of dance/movement, gorgeous language, and authentic emotion result in one of the best shows I've seen in any Fringe. Ever. Bring some tissues and sit in the front rows as the show can be quiet at times. That said, the quiet speaking lends itself to the show's authentic intimacy. DO NOT MISS YOUR CHANCE TO SEE THIS SHOW.
