Company: The Winding Sheet Outfit
Show: The Spirit Moves You To Color The Unseen
Venue: Rarig Stoll Thrust Theatre
Fascinating abstract art about abstract art!
One great thing about Winding Sheet is how they design shows to not just inform about someone or something, but to truly represent that person or thing. While this show felt clunky at times, not as polished as all the other Winding Sheet shows I've seen, maybe that was part of the point of it...
Company: Jennifer Vosters
Show: Songs Without Words (or, The Mendelssohn Play)
Venue: Rarig Nolte Xperimental Theatre
Amazing talent
Jennifer Vosters is an extremely talented performer, and this is one of the Top-5 solo performances I have ever seen at Fringe. I did take off a half of a kitty because I thought the actual content of the show was a bit dry, even for someone who took music theory and has played Mendelssohn's pieces as part of an orchestra, but overall, it was an extremely powerful and well acted show!
Company: Octoberdandy Productions
Show: Clown Funeral
Venue: Theatre in the Round
Your only chance to see "Reverend Matt" this year!
A funny, fringy show and your only chance to have Reverend Matt lecture you this year!
Company: The Shrieking Harpies
Show: Shrieking Harpies Presents: Period Piece
Venue: Barbara Barker Center for Dance
Always great improv!
Anytime you see the Harpies, you know you are going to laugh continuously for the whole hour, and this show was no exception!
Company: Comedy Suitcase
Show: The Gentlemen’s Pratfall Club
Venue: Theatre in the Round
Slapstick at its finest...with actual slapping!
If you are into the sort of cheesy slapstick comedy that is personified in masterpieces like Home Alone and Christmas Vacation, you will love this show! Tons of fun and nonstop laughing!
Company: Melancholics Anonymous
Show: Joan of Arc for Miss Teen Queen USA
Venue: Rarig Stoll Thrust Theatre
Amazing
Melancholics Anonymous does it again, creating a super funny, entertaining, very fringy show! A must see!
Company: Special When Lit
Show: Fangs and Bangs (and Sangs)
Venue: The Southern Theatre
Special When Lit...need I say more?!?
Ok, if I need to say more, it's a powerhouse of Fringe all-stars, at our show was Winding Sheet and the director of the festival...simply too much talent to miss!
