Putting the SHOW in one person show
Only 1 person on stage but still, quite a show. The staging, costumes, props, effects, and lighting, came together creating a more theatrical experience than I ever would have expected. The Wickie was funny, engaging, and entertaining. The 4th and best show I’ve seen in 2025.

Funny at Times
This was a monologue that will be funny for GenXers and anyone who’s lost a family member with whom they had a complicated relationship. The material was very personal and heartfelt. The delivery was powerful at times but, at other times it felt like Wells was standing in front of a classroom reading an essay from his notebook. I would have appreciated a bit more show. I imagine wells walking out with a card board box. Opening it and taking out a small lamp shade. Setting that on the stage. Then pulling out his teenage journal and telling us stories from it. At the end we learn the significance of the lamp shade.

By fans for fans
I’m not sure how big the cross over is between fantasy and theater nerds but for those of us who are both, this show hit a sweet spot. The large and talented cast did not disappoint. If you’re not familiar with either LOTR or BOM just enjoy the singing and dancing!

Silly good fun for everyone
We loved this show! A very nice piece of physical comedy that cleverly celebrates the greats of the genre. Every audience member will enjoy it even if some Google Don Knotts after the show.
