More Information
Maxxeapolis is the newest sketch comedy group to the Twin Cities, made up of local theater artists and comics alongside recent transplants with decades of sketch comedy experience (Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City, Philly Sketchfest). Drawing on Minneapolis’ longstanding excellence in sketch comedy, Maxxeapolis seeks to be a defining point of Minnesota’s comedy, theater, and arts scene at large.
The group’s style is a more fast-paced version of Saturday Night Live with some classic MadTV energy and I Think You Should Leave absurdity mixed in. Expect over-the-top situations, outlandish characters, and a mix of high and low brow humor.
