Solid take on growing up--good show!

Solid singing, but it was hard to hear the actors at times without microphones. A fun show with some solid wedding drama and cute scenes. Loved the themes at the end of the show.

The performances are what shine the most! You can appreciate the talent and bravery that goes into putting on a performance before a crowd of people through this production’s dedicated cast and crew. Well done!

The performances were solid but the script felt incredibly slight, like the plot was struggling to fill up the entire hour.

Fun show with a great cast

I loved this show, especially the performance by Coco, who played Trey and had me cracking up the whole time. I hope to see them in more shows ASAP!

A banger!

A great ensemble piece! Could have used a note that the first transition was to eight years later, but it was easy to keep up with. In a longer version, I would like to know what Alex finds endearing about their fiance, because he just comes across and uptight bridezilla. But the story is very well done, and the singing is great! The lead male (Charlie) was a little soft in his projection overall, both speaking and singing, but not unbearably so.

Fun Time!

Great show that I found engaging and fun the entire hour. Huge standout performance for Coco in this and the entire cast gels together well. Music was well done, especially liked the last song.

Ambitious and entertaining

As others noted, it starts slow, but it builds to a satisfying end. Some great performances, especially from Coco (Trey) and Lily (Alex). The music brought the show to life.

Coco was incredible

It was a very fun time, tugged at the heartstrings with some exceptional performances.

More Plunger!!

HEAR ME OUT: The final scene opens, the 3 band members are honoring their individual choices for their lives post wedding, they slowly walk off stage, lights dim ever so softly and who walks out on stage? The hotel plumber HERO with his trusty ol’ plunger. He looks around and recites one last line “Did I miss the wedding? Aw, shit!” End scene. Cut lights. Standing ovation.

Very Sweet

This show is like a nice walk with old friends on a warm summer evening. You find yourselves talking about all the good times. Maybe you find yourselves talking about the bad times too. Maybe you even find yourself singing your favorite songs! And maybe you find yourself saying nothing, finding comfort in the stillness as the light gets low and the breeze settles into a perfect rhythm. On a more technical note, this show had a lot of scene transitions, but they were all executed very well. Highly endearing and warm hearted.

I felt that the entire cast did an excellent job of performing. I enjoyed the music and comedy scenes the most. Well done!

We attended last night and loved it. I love the message it sent. Great original music and actors.

Captivating!

A phenomenal piece! A story that made you feel along with the characters. Showed humanity and the heart of belonging in the music industry. More audience inclusion in the musical numbers would be the only addition to this that would be wonderful! Loved the voice of Etta! (She should finish with I'd rather be blind by Etta James!)

Was hoping for more

I did think they did an OK job of fleshing out the characters' motivations. Just that the center of the plot (what's the appeal of being in a band?) could have been shown more and talked about less. Perhaps they could have played more songs from their days as a band. Or perhaps they could've talked more about their band's political convictions, because even though the type of "punk" the band does is def towards pop-punk, they alluded to wanting to take meaningful action in these unjust times. (They did have an amazingly-timed pun about ice, however.) The way the story was written felt similar to a 2000's "will the band get back together?" film, which is both a nostalgic and perhaps played-out premise. I do think it can work a crowd-pleaser stage play, which seems to be where it starts & stops. If it wanted to make deeper points about political stuff, it needs some more fleshing out.
