interesting, has some promise

This play doesn't have a plot really. And that's fine, there's plenty of great fringe shows that focus on character study or strong themes. But I felt like the characters were at most set up, barely explored. I know its hard to fit it all into an hour long play, I'd love to see this expanded and iterated. There were some themes brought up but I'd love to have seen some focus or stronger through line. The jokes poking fun at undergrad writing majors were very on point, they did transport me back to college days.

A Fun Time

If a man wants a job as a children's tv host named Captain Clumsy, but he's unable to do a pratfall, what can he do? A fun little comedy of two actors, doing excellent slips, trips, slaps, gaffes, and some witty words to tie it all together. I enjoyed myself.

I had fun

A good time with a variety of jokes being strung together with a brief retelling of Alien. An Abbott & Costello "Who's on First" of horror monsters was a delight. Their brief aside doing a real send up of steam punk was surprisingly fun, I hadn't thought about that genre in years but their skewering was good.

good short story

Simple work and space utilized well. Actors did their parts well. I'd love to see this concept/story expanded and fleshed out

damn good clowning

The plot is light, the audience is occasionally encouraged to partake, especially the front show. Good fun, they do a good job messing up in a fun way, arguing with the crew working the lights, then getting back to the story. I volunteered to help with one bit and he criticized my performance, in a very funny way. My face hurts a little from smiling and laughing for so long.

Best Show at Fringe

Perfectly paced, the story fit the length, not too long not too short. Revealing and unraveling our characters went perfectly. Good acting, made excellent use of the theater in the round style set and minimal props. Great tension, good story, what happens when a sailor commits the worst sin?
