Best of Fringe
A one man tour de force. I was mesmerized by the tightness of the writing. I was in awe of the clean/clear choices and the precision of the acting. I was captivated by the spare, effective lighting. I was transported by the highly effective soundscape. I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism of the entire production. My Best of Fringe for this year.

Creative and Engaging
What a marvelously creative mix of story, movement, music, and one spectacular puppet. There were a few moments when it was hard to hear and/or understand the dialogue, but on the whole this is a beautiful and engaging hour of theatre.

Multitudes Upon Multitudes
Truly entertaining and thought-provoking. Singing, dancing, juggling, clowning, a bit of Shakespeare, and some introspection prove that Tyler indeed does contain multitudes.

Home is Where the Heart Is
I only have a basic understanding of Tolkien's work - I read some of the books ages ago and have seen the Peter Jackson movies. But that didn't matter because, while the parallels with recent events in Minnesota are fascinating, this show is really about Sean's reactions and responses to those local events. His wonderful nerdiness is on fully display and his props mastery is unmatched, but the emotional moments of this show are what really stand out. The stories he tells, enhanced by personal sound bites and videos recorded in the past, help us understand, connect, and feel so many emotions about what it is to live through occupation, resistance, and resilience - whether those things are occurring in a fantastical world or in our own home.

Captivating Physical Storytelling
I love playwrights and what they can create with words, but this wordless, physical storytelling with nothing but live music accompaniment was compelling and entertaining. It was fun to see the performers' in-the-moment thinking as to how to enter and enhance the story, and how they enjoyed what each other was doing. Visual storytelling at its finest.

Humor and Heart
This review might be a little biased because 1) I’ve known Laura and Levi for many years and 2) my wife and I will become empty nesters ourselves in three weeks. It’s so good to see the two of them onstage together because they work so well off each other. The show is a mix of comedy and storytelling and (like all good shows) is a wonderful mix of humor and heart.
