Aerin O’Malley
FiverAerin O’Malley is hopping with excitement for her third Fringe with Melancholics Anonymous! Previous work with Melancholics includes: Beanie Baby Divorce Play, A Girl Scout’s Guide to Exorcism and Horse Girls. Aerin has recently been on stage with Lakeshore Players and Inver Grove Heights Community Theater. Off-stage, she choreographs for a number of theaters & schools around the Twin Cities and works for YourClassical Minnesota Public Radio. Love to those currently building their own warrens.
Anneliese Garner
BlackberryAnneliese Garner is back for her fifth Fringe performing with Melancholics Anonymous with longer ears than ever before! She holds a degree in Theater & Management from St. Olaf College and serves as the Production Manager for Melancholics Anonymous. Recent performance credits include Courtezan in Comedy of Errors (BARd Shakes) and Laura in The Last Menagerie (MA). She is looking forward to sharing the stage with her fiancé, Hawken Paul, and to running with him for years to come.
Bee Davis
Dandelion/Lyricist and ComposerBee Davis serves as Melancholics' Artistic Associate and Resident Songwriter. They are honored to have written the music and lyrics for this adaptation of Richard Adams' work. Claire Chenoweth
Buckthorn/Pipkin/Cowslip/CampionClaire Chenoweth (she/her) serves as Melancholics’ Literary Manager and can be found performing/directing/choreographing for many Melancholic projects. Outside of MA, Claire works as an actor, teaching artist, and emerging intimacy director. Recent credits include Birth of Athena (Birth Play Project) and Worm Teeth (MA). Frankie Miller
Stage ManagerFrankie Miller (he/him) is a stage manager, sex educator, Virgo, and lover. He is so delighted to help bring this crazy bunny story to life! His first show with Melancholics was The Last Menagerie for TC Horror Fest in the fall, and he's so excited to be working with this dream team again. Frankie has organized the Trans Voices Cabaret for the last three years. When he's not stage managing, he's probably hanging out. @frankiejonas_
Hawken Paul
Kehaar and MusicianHawken Paul is a Minneapolis-based actor, musician, and teaching artist, and he is thrilled to be joining the Melancholics for their very first Fringe musical! Recent theatrical credits include Enkidu in Insane Animals (End Times Theatre) and Buggy Band Musician in Worm Teeth (Melancholics Anonymous). Off the stage, Hawken teaches with the Children’s Theatre Company, Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth, and Zephyr Theatre. Hawken couldn’t be happier to share the stage with his fiancée, Anneliese, whom he would still love even if she were a rabbit.
Laura Marie
The Threarah/Silver/Nildro-hain/General WoundwortLaura Marie is thrilled to be working with Melancholics Anonymous again and to be returning to the Fringe for her third year! Marie has recently been seen in Worm Teeth (Melancholics Anonymous) and The Support Group...Daughters (Melancholics Anonymous NPS). Other local credits include A Christmas Carol (Guthrie) and Frozen (Children's Theatre Company). When not performing, you can often find her trimming her bangs poorly. Mason Tacke
MusicianMason Tacke is jazzed to be a part of his first Melancholic Fringe. Tacke graduated St. Olaf College with a music degree in 2020. His past work includes 5x5 (Transatlantic Love Affair) and Worm Teeth (MA). Tacke hopes to continue working with Melancholics, as he is in awe of their ease of creativity and the passion in which they discuss foods. He hopes this show will inspire you to stop and chat with any rabbits in your neighborhood and together brainstorm ways to improve your community.
Meredith Enersen
HazelMeredith Enersen (she/her) is the graphic designer for Melancholics Anonymous and is so excited to silflay and sniffle all over the Thrust in this wonderful adaptation! You may have caught her performing in some of Melancholics’ previous work, including Joan of Arc for Miss Teen Queen USA at the 2025 Fringe or seen her choreography in their recent production of Worm Teeth! When she’s not performing or designing you can likely catch her digging in the dirt or making people tell her their secrets.
Rachel Ropella
Director and Co-AdaptorRachel Ropella (she/her) is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Melancholics Anonymous and has spent the past seven years creating award-winning new plays for the Minnesota Fringe. She’s worked with Milwaukee Rep, Hartford Stage, Portland Stage, Dorset Theatre Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, and History Theatre. Rachel serves as the Education and Engagement Manager for the Guthrie and is a proud associate member of SDC. | @rachel_ropella | For the MA team, for building a hill of our own.
Ransom Stalker-Herron
Costume DesignerRansom Stalker-Herron is a Twin Cities based designer and performer, and is extremely excited to be working on Watership Down! Having graduated from the University of Minnesota Theatre Arts program while both performing and designing, Ransom is a huge believer in versatility and collaboration between the different areas within a production. Ransom most recently designed costumes for Mac Beth (University of Minnesota) and is excited to continue to work and create in the Minneapolis theatre community.
Samantha Miller
BigwigSamantha Miller is so happy to be back for another Fringe with Melancholics! Past Fringe credits include Joan in Joan of Arc for Miss Teen Queen USA, Dad in Beanie Baby Divorce Play, and Fudge in A Girl Scout’s Guide to Exorcism. They also serve as the Director of Development for MA. They would like to apologize to the greater rabbit community for staring at them and whispering “research” all summer.
Timothy Kelly
Toadflax/Captain Holly/Silverweed/Blackavar/El-ahrairah and Co-AdaptorTimothy Kelly (he/him) is a Twin Cities-based artist and rabbit aficionado. As Managing Director and co-founder of Melancholics Anonymous, Timothy finds joy in producing local, engaging, and accessible theater. He has directed, designed, and acted in a number of productions with Melancholics, other local companies, and independent endeavors. When not on or behind stage, Timothy is likely fiddling with a spreadsheet or singing in his car.

Adapted for the stage by Rachel Ropella and Timothy Kelly, with original music and lyrics by Bee Davis. This stage adaptation is presented by special arrangement with Watership Down Enterprises Limited.
Winner of seven MN Fringe awards (including three Audience Pick awards), Melancholics Anonymous is thrilled to return for their eighth year in a row! Established at St. Olaf College in 2019 and now based in the Twin Cities, Melancholics is an independent theater company dedicated to creating eccentric original works and championing new play development.
