Riley Parham
Romeo, Playwright, DirectorRiley Parham (He/They) holds a B.A. in Theatre: Dramaturgy, Directing, and Playwriting from Augsburg U in Minneapolis, MN. As an up-and-coming director, playwright, and actor based in Portland, OR, he loves walking a fine line between realism and absurdism, celebrating mistakes, and questioning the ideas we take for granted. You may have seen their previous directing and playwriting work: Swipe Right from the 2018 MN Fringe. On-stage credits include Hamlet (Hamlet), Sondheim’s Follies (Young Buddy - Artistry), The Drowsy Chaperone (Robert), Waiting for Lefty (Irv and Agate), Trouble in Mind (Manners), The Christmas Case (Wayne), Cymbeline (Iachimo), and Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius).
Ezra Veenstra
Juliet, CostumerEzra Veenstra (they/he/she) is an actor and costumer from Portland, Oregon who is thrilled to be making their MN Fringe debut. Ezra graduated from Portland State University this June and is excited to bring their passion for truth, beauty, and queering the art form into the Portland theatre community and beyond. Ezra has previously performed and costumed for Blinking Eye’s production of Swipe Right (JazzyRazzy2 - Twilight Theatre 2022). Other onstage credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Hermia - PCC), Our Town (Stage Manager - PCC), No Exit (Estelle - PSU), and Oh, the Humanity (PSU). Ezra also created and performed autobiographical theatre as resident artist with From the Ground UP in 2020 and 2021. He would like to thank Vinisa Cirigo for all her hard work; we couldn’t have been here without her!
Samantha Faye King
Stage HandSamantha Faye King (they/them) is excited to be a part of Romeo and Juliet are Dead in this years fringe festival. Though they have been a stage hand many times, this is their first time as a hand on the stage. Their tech credits range from audio engineering, lighting design, assistant stage management and stage crew at theaters around the metro including; Ames Center Burnsville, Park Square Theatre, Eden Prairie Players, Bloomington Center for the Arts and The Playwright’s Center. Currently they teach special education at PiM Arts High School making the arts accessible to all. They hope you enjoy the show!

Follow Romeo and Juliet as they fall out of lust with one another and embrace the tragicomedy that arises when two people desperately want to love one another but realize that they don’t.
