Smart, Thought Provoking, and Witty

Tiffany is an a strong performer and a great storyteller. The production quality was exceptional and clearly everyone that helped designed this show cared about their craft. The plot had substance, and challenges the audience to explore social norms we put on others when we don't know them. I hope everyone will be able to take something away from this show. Do yourself a favor and check this show out!

Fringe: Help me w/ introspection in a charming way

Creativity 5; Production Value 5; Interest (subjective) 5 We didn't understand why Tiffany had no information about herself or her show on her show's website. Oh, After seeing the show, we get it!! A blend of video clips, still pictures, Tiffany acting as different versions of herself (or projections of what others expect of her), and a serious (but charming) view into who she really is. And a challenge to us to learn about our true selves and refrain from making assumptions about others.

Hilarious, thought-provoking, and inspired

I loved this show! The multimedia bits were well-used; the costumes and dancing were funny, delightful, and occasionally spicy; the storytelling was pointed while maintaining humor and humanity -- non-didactic but definitely educational -- and the final segment made me wish for an hour-long Tiffany HBO special, because she is a comic wonder. Highly recommended!!!

Personal show about living w/ others’ projections

Tiffany’s concluding stand-up presentation is the heart of the show, and I wish we’d had more of it. The costuming it the first half was delightful, as was the reticence Tiffany brought to performing the characters assigned to her. I appreciate the filled portions for their transitional role, and they were well produced, but I feel this would be livelier as a multi-person show. Hard when you’re touring, obviously! The performance space was also very large for the action, might have benefitted from a more intimate setting.

A Must-See from a Talented New Voice

This is Tiffany’s first MN fringe show, and she created a compelling show with lots of heart. She won Best in Venue at the KC Fringe - with good reason! The show is fun, but also asks some big questions about race and identity and why we feel the need to put each other in boxes. Tiffany explores how others see us, and the limitations inherent in each of those stereotypes. She becomes 3 characters from pop culture that embody the way others have defined her, and explores those limitations through song, dance, and story. The videos tie the whole show together nicely and bring in some context and additional voices. The ending feels like a genuine conversation with a really funny friend. Find a place in your schedule to support this funny, talented touring artist, even if you’re not racially ambiguous.

Charming and clever!

I was totally charmed by this show and highly recommend it! In addition to the live-action performance elements and the entertaining, self-effacing, thought-provoking narrative, this show incorporates some clever, well-produced multimedia elements that I really enjoyed and I think added nicely to the show (even while they were structurally useful as transitions!). This is the kind of show that's made for and exemplifies some of the best of the MN Fringe!
