FAST, furious, frustrated & delivers the Salesman
Hilarious show that kept you thinking it had gone fully off the rails, then kicking the pace and absurdity up notches that you weren’t even aware existed. Happy, The Singular Ensemble Member, and the nephew were great.

Wait, it was improv?
Another audience member here who didn’t realize this was improv. It was hilarious start to finish, and clearly built on the structure of a disastrous tech rehearsal with an over-enthusiastic tech, a quirky performance space, and a cast and crew who are definitively not ok. Sergei was the standout. And I very much appreciate how much of the putative show they were able to give us through just constantly interrupted scene rehearsals.

Solid, full of laughs and pop culture references
Solid fun, definitely catering to the fan contingent and fun regardless of your IP (or pop culture) knowledge. Silly songs, good choreography, great costumes. King Bowser’s actor is a standout. My only note is, if you think you’re loud enough, make it 10% louder.

Delightful circus revue
I loved seeing performers of all ages performing circus stunts and styles. Some very clever, and very skilled, trapeze work. I wasn’t sure trapeze and tap dancing would be a match made in heaven—but for an hour they were. I do wish there had been a clearer narrative arc, and in at least one group number the music was loud enough to muddy the sound of the tap dancers. The younger performers’ face paint also did not read clearly, even from up close. Those are quibbles though! A very entertaining, energetic, and delightful show.

Personal show about living w/ others’ projections
Tiffany’s concluding stand-up presentation is the heart of the show, and I wish we’d had more of it. The costuming it the first half was delightful, as was the reticence Tiffany brought to performing the characters assigned to her. I appreciate the filled portions for their transitional role, and they were well produced, but I feel this would be livelier as a multi-person show. Hard when you’re touring, obviously! The performance space was also very large for the action, might have benefitted from a more intimate setting.

I loved hearing personal stories from and about the theatre from people with a wide range of experiences. Beautifully intimate setting with a spare production design that really let the performers shine.

Top tier improv
Top tier improv from actors I’ve only previously had the chance to enjoy in scripted works. Nissa and Sam did a delightful job weaving audience prompts into a sweet narrative framework.

Don’t be scared of the zombie clowns
Great clowning, great improv, great music, all done with so very little—little color, little light, few props. Hilarious, and a surprisingly moving delight.

A sexy and emotional journey
Gabriel and Armani move, clothe, disrobe, caress, and use their queer brown bodies to the utmost to take you on a journey of feelings about identity, desire, and so very much more. Technical mastery, wry humor, vibrant chemistry, and so many winks and grins. Don’t miss this one!
